This is a meditation by Selkina.
Today we are going to spend some time by the ocean to help calm ourselves and release our anxiety and stress and worries.
You can choose to sit upright or lie down for this meditation.
Just make sure wherever you are,
You can feel relaxed and comfortable.
Let's begin by relaxing our mind and body.
We'll spend a few minutes just breathing to center ourselves and arrive in this very moment.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and out through the mouth.
Another deep breath in and out through the mouth.
Just breathe in,
Hold it at the top and exhale through the mouth.
Inhale your body completely relaxed into your chair,
The ground or your bed if you're lying down.
Let's continue with our breaths.
This time as you inhale,
Feel your lungs really expand as they fill up with air.
Deep breath in through the nose,
Feel the air circulating in your lungs and exhale through the mouth.
Your breath is your life force.
Spend some time here just breathing in and out.
With each breath,
Feel yourself going deeper and deeper into relaxation.
You can repeat after me in your mind.
I am safe.
I am supported.
I am safe.
I am supported.
Imagine yourself standing by the ocean,
Just close enough to feel the cool water kiss your toes.
Feel the wet sand beneath your feet.
Smell the ocean breeze.
The sky is so blue,
The water is crystal clear.
The warm sunlight is glimmering on the ocean's surface.
There is nobody around,
Just you and the ocean.
Let's spend some time just breathing and listening to the soothing sounds of the waves as it washes over your feet,
The sand and perhaps some rocks.
As you continue breathing by the ocean,
Pay attention to what you are feeling.
What are the thoughts coming into your mind?
Don't push them away.
They are coming up for a reason.
Let's learn to honor them.
Give yourself some time to sit with these feelings and thoughts.
At any point,
If you feel uncomfortable,
Bring your attention back to your breath and the relaxing sounds of the waves.
Remember that the ocean is protecting you.
You are safe and supported.
Let your feelings know that you are listening.
You are not ignoring them.
Instead,
You are learning to embrace them.
Be open to whatever comes up at this point,
If you need to cry or laugh to release your emotions.
Don't hold back.
Let it go.
Let it go.
Let it go.
Now let's bring our attention back to your feet.
Feel the cold,
Wet sand that you are standing on.
The waves continue to wash over your feet.
Now imagine a pure,
Golden light forming in the center of your forehead.
You start to feel warm and tingly as this light slowly moves down and spreads across your body.
It's completely covering the top of your head,
Your arms,
Your throat,
Your stomach,
And finally moving down to your feet.
Feel how amazing it is to be completely hugged by this golden light as you stare across the ocean.
The mixture of the warm,
Healing light and the cool,
Blue water is making you feel even more safe and supported.
We are going to release this golden light into the ocean and as it disappears into the vast sea,
So will your anxiety.
Allow this light to absorb your stress,
Fears,
Anger,
Doubts,
Frustration,
Sadness,
Your pain.
Visualize the light begin to leave your body,
Starting from the top of your head,
Slowly moving down and finally reaching the tips of your toes and completely disappearing into the ocean.
You begin to see the water lighting up with this golden light.
Witness whatever doesn't serve you floating away in the ocean.
As it moves further away from your vision,
You can still see how beautifully it sparkles on the ocean's surface.
Finally this golden light is out of sight and you are feeling wonderful.
You feel so happy,
So full of love and so connected to the ocean.
Take a moment here to feel gratitude.
Thank yourself and the ocean for releasing everything that is not in your highest good.
Know that you are as powerful as the ocean,
You are a magnificent force.
You are capable of washing away your own anxiety,
Fears,
Doubts,
Sadness.
You are a powerful being.
When you're ready,
Bring your awareness back to your body.
Gently move your fingers,
Wiggle your toes.
Feel yourself come back to this moment.
Your body is full of energy,
Full of life and full of love.
Gently open your eyes.
You say,
