Welcome to this guided meditation meeting your inner child.
I'm your host Nicole Seeger and I'm so happy you're here with me.
Please find a comfortable seat or lay down.
Making sure that your body feels held,
Safe and relaxed wherever you are.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale through your nose.
And another inhale through the nose and exhale through the nose.
And the last one inhaling through the nose and sigh it out.
Find stillness in your body.
Connecting with your breath.
Connecting with your whole body.
Let's do a check-in and what is alive in your body today.
Starting at the crown the top of your head.
Gently moving through your forehead.
How are you feeling today?
Taking note of how your body feels in this present moment.
Your forehead and temples and the back of your head.
Relax.
Your mouth and jaw and neck.
Relax.
Your shoulders,
Upper back and front of your chest.
Relax.
Your arms all the way to your fingertips.
Passing your elbows.
Relax.
Your chest,
Stomach and back.
Relax.
Your hips and pelvis.
Relax.
Your legs,
Thighs,
Knees,
Shins and calves.
Relax.
And all the way into the top and the sole of your feet.
With every toe.
Relax.
Finding stillness in your body.
Imagine that you are walking along a pristinely white sand beach with dunes to your right and the crystal clear blue water to your left.
Finding one step at a time with mindfulness and ease.
Relaxing into the feeling of your soul's meeting the sand.
As you're walking down this pristine beach you see a white house quite far in the distance.
A house that feels familiar somehow.
Safe.
Comfortable.
You're walking steadily towards this house.
One step at a time.
The closer you get the more familiar this house feels to you.
You've been here before.
You notice that there's no curtains.
Nothing to be seen from the outside.
And you also notice that the front door is wide open.
As you climb over the dunes and make your way to the door you see that there's a doormat saying welcome with your name on it.
You also notice that as you step into this house there's no furniture,
No pictures,
Plants,
Nothing.
No people.
It is completely empty.
White.
And although it is so empty it feels comfortable.
Beautiful and light-filled.
Inviting.
And you're curious.
So you make your way down a couple of steps into a light-filled,
Bright and warm living space.
And as you get there you notice that there's two cushions on the wooden floor in the middle of the room.
Two red square shaped cushions.
You find that curious and you decide to sit down on one of them.
Lotus pose.
Relaxed.
You're just taking in this room and the cushion across from you.
Familiarizing yourself with everything.
As you get comfortable and you're relaxed you hear footsteps approaching from behind you.
But they're not threatening.
And you're curious to see who's behind those footsteps.
This person approaches and decides to sit down right across from you.
She sits down.
And as she does you open your eyes and you take a look at her.
It's your inner child who's come to sit with you and meet you today in this beautiful space.
Connect heart to heart and soul to soul.
Eyes to eyes.
Take a deep breath.
How old is she?
What is she wearing?
What is her expression like?
What does she feel like?
Is she happy?
Or sad?
Neutral?
Distant?
Curious?
Everything is welcome.
And while she sits here and you explore and really find space what is in the child of yours to connect with.
Let's ask her some questions.
How are you today?
What's alive in you?
And let that answer come as it will in any way,
Shape or form.
And then ask her what she needs from you today.
It could be as simple as your presence or your affection or a hug.
Or your time.
Again,
Let that answer come as it will.
It could come in colors,
Words,
Memories,
Pictures,
Feelings.
Take a deep breath.
And allow to receive what comes.
Thank your inner child and let her know that you love her.
That you're here for her and that she's not alone.
Let her know that you visit regularly now and connect.
Finding space for this.
Ever so gently and slowly give your inner child a hug if that's what it's called for.
Thank her for being here with you.
And in your own time and space whenever you feel ready gently get up and move slowly as you walk out of the house down the dunes,
Back to the ocean washing your feet in the beautiful water finding your energy and footing and grounding feeling connected feeling held making your way back down to where our journey began taking time to integrate what wants to be integrated take time to journal or draw using watercolors or just your fingers and imagination rest and enjoy until next time
