Allow yourself to find a comfortable seat.
Your back supported.
Your body resting.
And if it feels good for you,
Allowing your eyes to gently close.
And with each inhale and exhale,
Maybe just for this moment putting down something that you're carrying today.
And allowing yourself to have these few moments of stillness and silence and softness.
Letting your breath find a gentle pattern as you breathe in through your nose and out.
Putting something down with every exhale.
As your only job is to be here.
Noticing when thoughts try to pull you away.
And letting each breath be a recommitment to the practice.
And the intention of this short practice is to meet yourself right where you are.
Right here.
Whatever that might mean to you.
Trusting that right where you are is exactly where you should be.
And every moment before now has gotten you to here.
How beautiful is that?
Each moment being unique to only you.
And when you meet yourself right here,
You begin to illuminate the path to where you want to go.
But to do that requires stillness.
Requires acceptance.
Requires grace.
And a uniting with the you that's here in this moment.
On your next inhale and exhale.
See if you can be completely present with that.
Feeling what it is to inhale.
And what it is to exhale.
Noticing the subtle movement it makes in your body.
And maybe the ever so slight shift in your mind.
And as you continue to breathe softly,
Gently.
Taking a moment of gratitude for where you are.
Finding something in that.
To be grateful for.
To honour.
The path to now may not have been easy.
But you are here.
And could it be possible that where you are right now,
Is where you once wanted to be.
And when you meet yourself right here in this moment.
You begin to open your heart to new possibility of what's ahead.
Allowing yourself to receive that in the last few breaths of this meditation.
Breathing in.
And out.
Before you rush to the next moment,
The next task.
Maybe say a kind word to yourself for getting here.
And if you don't know where to begin,
Start by saying thank you.
Let's take our final breath together,
Breathing in.
And out.
And inviting in a little movement into your body.
Gentle.
Mindful.
And allowing your hands to come somewhere on your body.
And when you're ready.
Moving into the rest of your day.
Thank you.
