This 7 minute active breathwork meditation is designed to begin to move energy in your body.
While every experience and everybody's experience will be different,
This type of active breath will move stagnant energy in your body and allow for expansion,
Heart opening to occur.
The active 3 part breath oxygenates the blood,
Stimulates the hypothalamus and other systems in your body,
Sending endorphins to your body and moves you to what I like to call a higher state of consciousness.
In layman's terms,
This will get you out of your head and into and connected with your body.
The breath,
All done through the mouth,
Will consist of an inhale in the belly,
An inhale into the chest,
And an exhale through the mouth.
So it sounds like this,
Belly,
Chest,
Mouth.
We'll continue with that breath for a few minutes and then move into an integration period where expansion has happened and you are connected.
It is normal to feel discomfort in the first few minutes of this practice as your brain senses friction and clings to control.
I will talk you through the meditation and guide your ego to surrender and your body and breath to connect.
I may cue you to breathe 5% deeper into your body,
But know that you are in control of the experience and can breathe at a level that feels comfortable for you.
My only ask is that you keep the breath going for the entirety of the practice.
You can go ahead and lay down now,
Coming to a flat position,
Removing anything that might be underneath your body,
Especially from underneath your head as we want to keep the throat chakra as open as possible and really allow the energy to move around our body.
Let's start with a few conscious breaths together before we move into the active breath.
Coming into stillness,
Invite a breath in through your nose and out through your mouth,
Surrendering into your body,
And another one,
And one last breath.
Starting with the active breath now,
Belly,
Chest,
Mouth.
Start the breath as deep or as gentle as you feel comfortable with,
Knowing that the bigger the breath,
Generally the deeper the experience,
Committing to staying with the breath pattern for the next few minutes.
It's normal in these early parts to feel discomfort as your ego feels like it's losing control.
Staying with the breath,
Ask yourself,
How much more can I release in this moment?
How much more can I surrender?
Allowing the brain to take a back seat for this experience,
Trusting that there will be a point when this becomes easy and effortless.
You're doing great.
Keep breathing.
You may feel energy begin to move in your body,
Tingling,
Buzzing,
Aliveness as you oxygenate your blood,
Stimulating the body,
And beginning to come undone.
Take the breath to go a little deeper now,
Maybe taking in 10% more air.
You can start to pull the emotions,
That stagnant energy up from the depths of your body,
Those emotions you've pushed down for years,
Lifetimes even.
Harness them now,
Bringing them into your belly,
Through the chest,
And releasing them out through the mouth.
You're doing great.
You are supported.
It is safe to be in your body.
It is safe for you to breathe.
Bringing up old experiences,
Thoughts,
Emotions,
And beliefs that you've clung to,
That may not even be yours.
Belly,
Chest,
Mouth.
Belly,
Chest,
Mouth.
Beautiful.
Staying with the breath,
Allowing your body to surrender even more now.
Stirring those emotions up,
I'm going to prompt you on your next exhale to make an audible release through the mouth,
Drumming up anything that doesn't serve you,
And making an audible noise as you release.
Really clearing that throat chakra once again.
Maybe even giving a little chuckle.
Coming back to the breath.
Going a little deeper now.
Knowing that you're in the sweet spot,
Your heart is opening,
And you are connecting to your truest essence.
What's possible when you make that connection?
When you trust that you are guided,
That you have infinite potential.
You are creating space for your truest self to drop in.
You are expanding,
Activating your soul.
Your vibration is shifting.
Taking the breath 5% deeper into your body now as we move through the last few breaths.
Who are you without these fears and beliefs that you hold onto?
What's possible when you surrender,
When you let go?
Moving back to a natural breath now.
Taking a big deep breath in through your nose,
And releasing it out through the mouth.
Coming back to a breath that's comfortable.
Allowing your body to rest in stillness.
Feeling into the spaces you've created.
Know that you are connected now.
Your soul,
Your spirit,
It guides you.
What do you want to know?
Ask now.
Soul,
What would you have me know?
What would you have me do?
In this sweet spot of surrender,
Know that anything is possible.
That when you connect from this place of love,
You are supported.
Healing happens.
Transformation happens.
Manifestation happens.
Taking another breath in.
Coming back into your body now,
Into this room.
Take your time as you enter back into the rest of your day.
You are an open vessel now.
This might be a great time to pick up your pen and just allow yourself to free write from your soul.
