
21 Days Mindfulness Practice - Day 17

In day 17 of this 21-day series, we'll prepare you for being able to stay calm despite being in the midst of chaos. This will allow you to go through life with more ease regardless of the circumstance you find yourself in.

Hello,
This is Subin Jain and it's day 17 of the 21 day meditation series and come on it's pretty exciting.
We've been hanging out together now for more than two weeks.
It's actually two and a half weeks now.
And so we would like to talk about today and today's meditation is preparing you for being calm even when we are amidst the chaos for being the eye at the center of the storm and to walk through our life with greater grace and greater ease.
So just take a deep breath in right now and just let it go.
And right now there might be something highly turbulent outside of you but remember it's not you.
Even if you believe this is the most aspect of your physiology or some aspect of your emotional state we've always and we've already acknowledged all these things.
You're not your body and you're not your mind.
You're not your emotions.
You have a body and you have a mind.
And that everything else just comes from a deeper orientation which is known as self referrals.
Self referral is when all perspectives come from the soul as opposed to an object outside of us.
For example if I need outside to be sunny for me to be happy and I live in a place which has a lot of clouds throughout the year then I won't be too happy all over the year.
But if I can be happy whether it is raining or sunny then I'm not dependent on the sun to be happy.
To dance in the rain or in the sun I can just be happy.
So I'm not dependent on something or someone to bring happiness to my life or to bring smile in my life.
We all have something outside of us that makes us happy.
We don't have to stop looking at that.
But we don't need to be dependent upon that for our feeling of fulfillment or on something or someone.
What I do is when I say Om Shanti I am happiness.
I can determine my full level of happiness as a self referred being without being so susceptible of all the ups and downs,
The abundance,
The constrictions of all those things which are outside of me.
But if I can come from within it is the most authentic and genuine expression of the vast abundant universe and then whatever flows through me is abundance,
Creativity,
Expansion,
Growth,
Happiness,
Deep deep fulfillment and love.
And so then when I look outside of me to something that didn't work out the way it was supposed to be or some conversation that didn't go the way I hoped it would go and I find that there are so many things that are not in my control.
Am I going to beat myself up for that?
You know some days before somebody sent a message to me that all these guided meditations are too long.
Means we can complain for each and everything in our life which is not in my control.
And you know in life there are always going to be two options for everything.
We need to pick one.
Are you going to point fingers for everything outside of you?
Or are you going to embrace life and just say hey if I want to forecast or predict the future I need to create it right now.
It's always been said that anytime you are pointing a finger at something or someone there are three fingers pointing right back at you.
And before I used to think that anything happening in my life I'm only responsible for 50% and someone else or something else is responsible for the rest 50%.
And I'm not responsible for everything going on in my life because everything is a co-creation.
But slowly I have found myself accepting that more and more that it is really me who is 100% responsible for whatever is happening in my life.
And at that moment I can claim my happiness.
I can claim my peace.
We are the masters of each and every moment at any moment.
And then we can celebrate.
We can dance in whatever is going on in our life.
And at that moment you have the ability to be that calm among the storm also.
Look around you the world is swirling.
We are living in a water drenched world which is swirling and swirling and swirling.
And if you look at life before we had so limited options and now we have hundreds of options it's overwhelming.
Sometimes it is even difficult to choose.
And sometimes you feel like you're on a call for the universe.
So much is pouring in.
So many responsibilities being taken care of.
You know children,
Family,
Members,
Pet,
Money,
Travel,
Sleep,
Food,
Entertainment,
Love.
You have to keep your office clean.
You know your house clean,
Car,
Your apartment.
So many responsibilities.
Maybe you like to read a book or maybe go to see a movie.
So many stuff going on.
And we are simultaneously we are projecting out into that world whether there is anxiety or there are things which are not going well or there are things which are out of our control.
And we are driving ourselves crazy,
Praying and hoping,
Doing everything in our power to try to make sure that things work out the way we want them to be.
So just close your eyes and take a deep breath in.
And simply release.
And now just go deeper to your center,
To your soul center,
To your heart center.
Just pick up one,
It doesn't matter.
And feel the love,
The power,
The strength and the abundance which is pouring out of your soul.
Feel that love.
Just bathe into it.
Feel that love.
And just wash every aspect of who you are.
But there might be something right now which is little bit turbulent,
Which is putting you off.
It might be disappointing,
It's sad.
And in this moment what do you want to do with that?
Would you like to lift it up?
Would you like to move above your limiting beliefs that you have created?
Then this is the time.
Now that you have connected with the stillness and silence that's within you and you've been doing it for the last 16 days.
And you might be feeling little bit comfortable with this silence and stillness.
So let's go deeper right now and we use a mantra called I am complete like this universe.
I am complete like this universe.
So just close your eyes and repeat over and over again.
I am complete like this universe.
I am complete like this universe.
I am complete like this universe.
And now just repeat it whispering I am complete like this universe.
I am complete like this universe.
I am complete like this universe.
I am complete like this universe.
Now for the next 2 minutes just repeat it silently in your mind to yourself.
I am complete like this universe.
I am complete like this universe.
I am complete like this universe.
I am complete like this universe.
I am complete like this universe.
I am complete like this universe.
I am complete like this universe.
Om Shanti!
I am complete like this universe.
You are part of abundance,
Part of this huge vast universe.
This is who you are.
There is no constrictions.
There is no fear in this moment.
And there is no sadness.
And you cannot be sad if there is no past and there is no future in this moment.
This one moment.
Just take a deep breath to anchor this moment.
Right now just let's do this again.
Deep breath in.
And there is only you.
There is only abundance.
There is only oneness.
This is you.
And as you move around your day just remember you promised yourself.
I am complete like the universe.
And whatever these powers of the universe are,
They are flowing through me.
Whatever is creating turbulence in your life,
Just take a deep breath in and just smile about it.
Just bring yourself to this very moment where you are all knowing,
All seeing,
All feeling.
You are complete like the universe.
Just keeping this awareness in your mind.
Let's seal this meditation with home chanting.
So take a deep breath in and release.
Just sit centered in the soul or your heart or wherever.
Sit in this moment and take a deep breath in.
AhhhhhhhhSon That memory keeps falling And when you feel comfortable,
You can slowly open your eyes.
And feel that completeness inside you.
