Hello,
This is Sumit Jain and welcome to Day 4 of the 21 Day Meditation Series.
It's our fourth day and we've been together for four days and come on,
We can keep doing this,
This nourishment which is so powerful.
Let's connect together today and we're going to talk about the concept of mantras.
Mantra is a Sanskrit word and Sanskrit is an ancient language and the beauty of mantra is that it's become part of our social fabric now and mantra comes from two Sanskrit words,
An which means mind and tra which means instrument or a vyakav.
So your mantra is a mind instrument or a mind vyakav and it's that vyakav that takes you to stillness and silence.
This allows you to drift away from any other thoughts,
Sounds or physical sensations to this mantra.
The mantra that we are going to use today and we will repeat the mantra silently over and over and over in our mind is known as Om Shanti Mantra and Om Shanti Mantra is also the mantra of manifestations.
So let's try this.
Let's get comfortable and close our eyes,
Take a deep breath in,
A deep centering breath and simply let go.
Take another deep breath in and release and begin silently repeating Om as you inhale and Shanti as you exhale.
Remember the mantra is repeated silently.
Keep breathing and keep repeating Om Shanti in the mind.
If you feel comfortable you can even see the words Om and Shanti flashing in the mental screen of your mind.
So let's begin.
Okay,
So since this is a mantra of manifestation,
Right now keep your eyes closed and let's bring our awareness to one intention that we have.
Just one intention.
It can be about anything,
Something you would love to be manifested,
Something you'd like to unfold in your life.
Invite that intention.
Just invite it into your heart,
Invite it into your physiology,
Invite it into your soul and just let's plant that intention like a seed in the fertile soil of your soul.
Just take a deep breath in and let go.
Just release it to the universe and let the universe work out the details.
Now let's begin repeating this Om Shanti mantra again after releasing the intention in order to increase the vibrations around us and also around our intention.
So as you inhale repeat Om,
Repeat it silently and as you exhale repeat Shanti silently.
And if you notice that you've drifted away to thoughts or sounds or physical sensations,
Simply drift back to Om Shanti.
As you're repeating the mantra you can change it,
You can make it faster,
Slower,
Louder,
Even when you're repeating it silently.
You might find that automatically it has become jumbled or distorted,
You may have forgotten it,
Lost it.
Whatever happens just be very gentle about it.
Don't scold yourself because this is meditation.
When you realize that you've shifted away just gently drift back and your meditation will be this gentle drifting of back and forth,
Back and forth and this is the beauty of the mantra meditation.
Don't judge your thoughts,
Don't judge the sounds,
Don't judge any physical sensations and don't judge anything.
Just drift with it.
What we are doing each time we drift back to that mantra is that we are disconnecting from activity,
We're disconnecting from thoughts,
Disconnecting from sound,
From sensations in the most gentle way.
And the beauty of the mantra is that we use it for its vibrational quality.
You see every thoughts have two components,
They are silent and they have meaning but the beauty of the mantra is that it is silent but it has no meaning.
It's just a vibration like the tick tick of a clock,
Maybe the chime in a clock tower or a gong,
It's meaningless,
It's just a vibration and by repeating something over and over and over simply for its vibrational quality we disconnect from things that have meaning in that moment.
We experience the stillness and silence that rests within us.
We experience our pure perfect whole enlightened and unconditional self.
Whether that is for a billionth of a second or for 10 seconds or 10 minutes it doesn't even matter because this experience is beyond space and time.
This is pure stillness,
This is pure silence.
So gently drift and gently drift back,
Drift,
Drift back and this is meditation.
So let's begin again.
Do this Om Shanti meditation one more time.
I will watch the time and you simply do the mantra meditation.
Okay.
You can stop repeating your mantra now.
You can stop repeating Om Shanti and come back to this world of activity.
Just take a deep breath and gently release.
Simply become aware of how you feel right now.
Simply be aware of the vibrations.
How do you feel?
How does your heart feel?
How does your head feel?
How do your shoulders feel?
Has your face become a little more relaxed?
Or do you feel the weight that you carry on your shoulders?
Just by tapping into this silence,
This stillness for a few moments every day will transform your physiology,
Your emotional state and your connection to the source which is your spirituality.
So from the consciousness of thousands of people working together who are manifesting today whatever they want in their lives.
This is Sumitran wishing you to have an amazing day ahead.
Om Shanti and Namaste.
