Hello,

This is Sumit Jain and welcome to Day 5 of the 21 Day Meditation Series.

Day 5 is a pretty powerful and important day in this process because it means that you have strung together for 4 days and it also means that you are showing up because you are having fun or you are finding some value or you are willing to take one more step along this journey.

And this journey will connect you to the most creative,

The most compassionate,

The most divine,

Cosmic,

The most expensive,

The most abundant,

The most loving and the most accepting aspect of who you are.

So hang in there with us,

Keep it going,

Keep showing up and we'll also keep showing up as well.

So together today with thousands of people around the world,

We are going to tap into this meditation with you,

With me and with us.

With all your closest meditating friends,

All of them are going to experience this meditation along with you.

And this meditation is about attention and intention.

In fact everything in life is about intention and intention.

So today we are going to bring your attention where you are going to rest your attention,

Your awareness,

Where you are going to place your energy.

And it's a really important question because at the end of the day we can ask ourselves how much time did I put on something that didn't serve me?

It might be serving you before but it doesn't serve you anymore and in fact it might be harming you and not even enriching you anymore.

So based on whatever that attention is then we bring to that moment an intention.

For example let's say you grew up with lots of dogs in your house and you have a friend who was bitten by a dog as a child and now two of you are walking down the street one day and a huge hundred pound pit bull starts racing towards you and that reminds you of one of the dogs that you had when you were growing up and so you get down on your knees even though it's barking and there's saliva flying out of his mouth but it reminds you of that sweet tiny little pit bull that you had as a child who loved you unconditionally and so you get down on your knees and you start rubbing the dog and this dog is someone you've never met in your life and not even for a moment do you have any fears in the process.

On the other hand your friend who was bitten by a dog as a child upon seeing that dog from 100 feet away starts racing away to hide from the dog.

So both of your attention went to that dog it went to that image but both of you brought a very different intention to that moment.

Your intention was one of nurturing and sweetness and the other person's intention was one of fear and trauma.

So it's not the dog it's us it's what we bring to each moment and each moment we have our intention moved to a particular area and then we bring some attention to that.

You and I can look at the exact same painting the exact same TV show the exact same video maybe exact same everything and we see very very different things.

So our attention can be the same item but our intentions will be distinctly different because our intentions is based on our conditioning upon where we were brought up our mind body spirit connections and so many other aspects of life and so this meditation will bring our attention to different things and then you will experience what your intention is there.

Maybe you will find oh I think this about that now and so I'd like to do this in this meditation I'm just going to be saying different things different words to bring your attention towards them and you're going to become aware of the intentions that you have and you may ask yourself so this is how I feel about this.

You see for everything in life we have two words learned from childhood good or bad.

So let's use that as a gauge and I'm going to say things while your eyes are closed during this meditation and you're going to have your attention drawn to that item or whatever thing is this and then just ask yourself good or bad.

Okay so let's begin this attention and intention meditation just find a comfortable place sit down lay down sit as you like just make yourself comfortable because that's the most important aspect because we don't want to be pulled back away from our attention and intention meditation just take a deep breath in gently let go.

One more time take a deep breath in and release just flow and remember good or bad.

Clouds small dogs the color blue the ocean elephants cell phones someone speaking loudly on their cell phone you speaking loudly on your cell phone your mobile sunshine heat cold snow mangoes apple whiskey waterfall coins in your pocket vegetarian vegetarian meat eaters GE this moment the milky way the chocolate bar a guru a river the pyramids an egg a person you recently had an argument with your ankles your face your eyes your hair the olympics school studying learning growing crying hugging laughing laughing hysterically so that your stomach hurts sleeping ice cream an email a text message exercise meditation where is your attention right now what's the attention you're bringing to it and what's the intention you're bringing to that now imagine you're sitting meditating and someone starts pounding on the door it's like pounding pounding pounding banging banging banging until you might just get up a little bit irritated but if you get up and you open the door and there was someone on the other side of the door like a fireman who said hey I'm here to save you because your house is on fire and I came to know that you were meditating so I came to help you then instantly in that moment the pounding on your door goes from being an irritation to a very sweet beautiful salvation so it was a pounding or the knocking on the banging on the door good or bad in one moment from being irritated you go to an area of gratitude so you can see that in any moment your intention can change it can shift it can shift from good to bad and from bad to good so let's spend a few moments in stillness into silence together and let's go through all those let's go through all those tensions and intentions and let them change and let's go back to that Om Shanti Mantra as we breathe in we repeat home silently to ourselves and as we exhale we repeat Shanti so let's try and every time you realize your intention has drifted to something and you're starting to weave your intention into that just acknowledge it take a look at it just gently drift back to Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti let's begin and I will watch the timing for you and you just sit gently with your eyes closed and silently chant Om Shanti.

Om Shanti I am a powerful happy radiant soul just take a deep breath in and let go let's take another deep breath in and simply release let's seal this meditation by chanting Om together take a deep breath in.

This is Sumitran from the sweet spot of the universe wishing you peace and just requesting you to pay attention all the day to everything that you see or hear or whatever you feel this is the process of transformation wishing you all the best Om Shanti and Namaste.

Om Shanti.

Om Shanti.
