Hello,

This is Sumit Jain and today is day 7 of the 21 day meditation series.

And I know you've been hanging out for 6 days of tapping into stillness and silence together.

And you've started feeling connected.

I mean imagine there are thousands and thousands of people alongside you and you have that support system working with you and it is so so powerful.

And I want to thank you for taking the time out of whatever is going on in your day to day life.

And you're trying to make your life a little bit better or you're trying to tap into something that perhaps is going to give you a little more grace and a little more ease and a little bit of everything.

So let's start with day 7.

And this meditation we will pay attention to some of the experiences that we will have during this meditation today.

Remember everything that's experienced in the meditation is valid.

So there are no such things as interruptions or distractions in meditation.

Even if someone calls you and you need to respond,

That's part of the meditation.

If a dog barks or a car alarm goes off or even if a plane flies overhead,

If your cell phone rings,

Even if your stomach gurgles or you start crying or giggling,

It's all okay.

These are all parts of your meditation and these are not distractions.

And so often when I ask people how's your meditation going,

People just say it's great except that I still have all these thoughts coming up.

And I always tell them it's great.

That means that you're alive.

No thoughts means a flat line and that means that you're dead.

Thoughts make you feel alive.

So the next time you have a thought,

Just celebrate it.

And so this meditation we really want to take the stock of all the experiences that can happen.

And so when we did the mantras,

Meditations and we've done the breath awareness meditation,

There's really only three experiences that can happen during meditation in addition to the mantra or the breath.

And that is that we can have thoughts.

Do you remember 60 to 80 thousand thoughts a day,

Which is about 1.

2 thoughts every second.

We can hear sounds in our environment,

Any sound,

Any kind of vibration.

And on top of that,

The third thing we can experience is stillness,

The silence.

And it might be for a millionth of a second or it might be for 10 seconds.

And you know it's impossible to gauge time when you're in stillness.

The definition of the gap is a place of no space and no time.

No space means you cannot know that you're there and no time means you cannot know for how long.

So stop torturing yourself about achieving something.

We are here to surrender and it's okay.

And if you are a control freak,

This is the one time you can give it up with your eyes closed because no one is looking.

And even if somebody talks to you or ask you something,

You can just tell people that you are sleeping.

But remember it's really really important that you view this practice with surrender and innocence.

And the more you can do that,

And this is the tough part for high achievers,

For this maddening world of achievements and for control freaks.

This is even more tough for movers and shakers and who call themselves to be masters of the universe nowadays.

We are not used to these things.

We are used to taking control of taking control of everything and getting the things done as we want.

But not here.

Not in this.

And definitely not today.

It's opposite.

And perhaps tapping into this aspect of yourself,

The surrendered and innocent aspect of yourself will make the other parts of who you are a little more flowing,

A little more expanded,

A little more powerful.

This will not weaken you.

But it's a goal oriented society that has always taught us,

Work really hard,

Put a lot of effort and you will succeed.

It's okay there,

But not here.

Here the less you do,

The more you succeed.

The harder you try,

The further you go away.

Since we know what the experiences are,

Let's see if we can experience them today.

So just close your eyes right now and enjoy the music for some time.

Let's see what comes to our awareness.

Do you see anything?

Do you see any colors?

Red?

Yellow?

Or a green color?

Maybe blue?

Purple?

White?

Or do you see blackness?

What kind of shapes do you see?

What kind of images are coming in your mind?

Do you see photos?

Do you see videos?

Do you see videos or photos of nature?

Or do you see people in it?

Or are these people you know or are these people you don't know?

So many things and so many thousands of things that you can see in the mind's eye in a flash of a second.

Seeing these things are all versions of thoughts.

And now ask yourself when you are meditating.

Have you felt any physical sensations?

They might be cold or hot.

They might be movement in the physical.

There might be stillness.

They might be sweating on your palms.

There might be no sweating or tingling or itching or whatever.

What do you feel?

These are all versions of thoughts.

All that sensory stimuli is a reception turning into thoughts.

How do you hear anything?

Any sounds?

Whether it is loud or faint.

The bottom line is it's making a vibration.

And that vibration turns into another thought.

You can have thoughts in meditation and you can experience stillness.

That's it.

Those are three things that can happen.

And all these signs are of a verified meditation.

I will repeat this.

That all are signs of a verified meditation.

Whether you fell asleep.

Whether you had thoughts.

Whether you experienced stillness.

There is no graduation.

There is no meditation police.

The bottom line is that when you are meditating,

Then you are getting the results.

Or you bring in a sweet healing,

Nurturing intention that you are getting the results.

Whether you are having thoughts or you are experiencing stillness.

Or you are sleeping.

Anything.

All these are meditations.

The target is not to get the experience.

The target is to just show up for the meditation.

We don't try to do anything in meditation.

We just let the experiences happen.

So let's experience the experiences of meditation again.

And we'll go with the mantra of Om Shanti.

As you breathe in.

You repeat Om silently to yourself.

And as you exhale.

You repeat Shanti.

Silently.

So Om Shanti.

Om Shanti.

Om Shanti.

And when you notice you drifted away to thoughts or sounds or the physical sensations.

Gently drift back to the mantra of Om Shanti.

And this is the mantra of manifestation.

So let's experience that.

So let's close our eyes.

And you can see and feel this Om Shanti mantra silently.

Let's begin to meditate.

And we'll hang out in this space.

Just for a few moments.

Just for a few minutes.

And I'll watch the time for you.

You simply have to chant Om Shanti mantra.

So let's begin.

Om Shanti.

Om Shanti.

I am a peaceful,

Powerful and a manifesting soul.

You can stop repeating the mantra now.

Just sit gently.

Let's seal this meditation by chanting Om together.

So let's take a deep breath in.

And take it deeper into the body.

Just hold it.

Om.

Om.

When it feels comfortable,

You can slowly open your eyes.

And look around at the thousands of people who joined us.

In this collective,

Magnificent consciousness.

And if you have an opportunity,

Just for a few minutes.

Take a pen and a piece of paper.

And write down what actually happened during this meditation.

What were your experiences that you had inside the meditation?

So from today,

Let's start writing down our experiences.

What are the experiences inside the meditation?

And also experiences which are outside of my meditation.

What's happening in my life that is different,

That is changing?

How is meditation impacting my waking state in the morning?

Because you know,

It will impact your waking up.

And if you would like,

You can send messages to me in my email or WeChat as a feedback.

And for the first time,

Maybe someone says to you,

Hey,

You seem to have done something with your looks.

You look so well.

What's going on in your life?

Or your boss says,

There's something great happening with you.

The kind of solutions you're giving to me nowadays are so unexpected from you.

Whatever,

Whatever external acknowledgements that you're getting in your life,

Don't just blow it off.

Write it down.

And send a message to us.

We want to hear from your experiences.

Feel free to join us in sharing your experiences.

Because it will help you further in expanding your meditation linkages.

And it will also help other people.

So this is Sumit Jain from the center of this big,

Big group of meditators all around the world with us.

Wishing you all the happiness and peace in your life.

Namaste.

And Aum Shanti
