All too often we diminish ourselves by questioning our self-worth and inner knowing, measuring ourselves to our own past experiences and comparing ourselves with other people. We set the bar so high for ourselves we making it impossible for us to experience inner peace and relish in the simple pleasures of Life. Instead, we measure our future and our own self-worth based on what has happened to us in the past, shaming ourselves with negative self-talk and caging ourselves into a hamster wheel of non-stop doing. In today's meditation we are going to take a journey inward and connect with that place within you that only knows pure love, peace, and self-worth, and remember that you are already enough just as you are.

Hello,

And welcome to this meditation to remember that you are enough.

My name is Sophia Wun-Masikat,

And I'm honored to be your guide today.

All too often,

We diminish ourselves by questioning our self-worth and inner knowing,

Measuring ourselves to our past experiences,

And comparing ourselves with others.

Without even noticing it,

We either set the bar so high for ourselves,

We make it impossible for us to experience inner peace and contentment,

And relish in the simple pleasures of life.

No,

Instead,

We measure our future and our own self-worth based on what has happened to us in the past,

Shaming ourselves,

Beating ourselves up with negative self-talk,

And caging ourselves into a hamster wheel of non-stop doing.

The truth is,

There is no one magic person,

Pursuit,

Or place that can make us feel appreciated,

Valued,

And loved.

Your worth comes from within.

Your value is in who you are,

Not what you do.

Yet for many of us,

Our self-worth is often dictated through how much we do,

Achieve,

Produce,

How we look,

And what we own.

We operate from the energy of fear.

We try to keep up with the pace of society,

For we fear we'll lose out and fall behind.

We fear being rejected.

We fear losing love and connection.

We fear being alone.

Today I'd like to offer us another path.

One based on self-acceptance,

Self-worth,

And love instead of shame and fear.

One that frees you from the pressure of performing and allows you to rest and be.

One that invites in collaboration instead of competition.

One that brings forward self-compassion instead of self-judgment.

One that unfolds the tight arms around our chest and opens up to vulnerability and intimacy.

I'm here to remind you that you are enough.

So if you're ready,

Let's begin.

To begin,

Let's make ourselves comfortable.

You can lie on your back with a pillow under your knees,

Or sit comfortably,

Perhaps on a bolster,

Cushion,

Or a few folded blankets.

For additional support,

Feel free to sit against a wall or a chair.

If you are lying down,

Feel the connection between the back of your body and the ground beneath you.

If you are seated,

Lengthen up through your spine,

Broaden through your collarbones,

And let your hands rest on your thighs,

Palms facing either up or down.

Once you're settled,

Close your eyes and tune into your breath.

Just notice your breath without trying to change it.

Notice if you feel tense or relaxed without trying to change that either.

As you breathe,

Allow yourself to soften,

Surrender,

And settle into a space of stillness.

This moment is about you.

In this meditation,

We will make the commitment to honor the life within us and the journey we are on.

We will open ourselves up and see our true self with love and compassion.

So let's take a deep breath in through the nose and exhale out through the mouth.

Start to bring your awareness to your body.

How does your body feel right now?

Where is your body holding tension?

Exhale deeply,

Slowly,

And mindfully,

Becoming present with the here and now.

Allow your body to soften and relax as you breathe out.

Breathe into any spaces where you may be holding tension and let it go.

With each breath,

You are feeling more relaxed,

Falling deeper inside yourself,

Connecting with your inner being.

Now bring your awareness to how you feel within.

Do you feel emotionally drained or closed off?

Where is your mind at?

Is it wandering or is it rested within the breath?

Is your mind at ease or filled with restlessness,

Negativity,

And doubt?

Breathing deeply,

Slowly,

And mindfully,

And exhaling to soften,

Relax,

And release.

You are safe.

You are safe to be here.

Allow the breath to wash away any negative beliefs or thought processes that are filling your mind.

Any beliefs that you need to do more,

To be more,

To achieve more.

Any doubts that you don't have enough time,

Money,

Experience.

Let it all go.

Watch the beliefs and doubts leave your body and mind through your breath and soften into your heart,

Alchemizing this dark energy into light,

Inviting an acceptance,

Compassion,

And love.

You are enough,

Just as you are right here in this very moment.

You can take time to rest and relax and still be enough.

You can honour the full spectrum of your emotions and still be enough.

You can take imperfect action and still be enough.

You can choose to say no thank you and still be enough.

You can choose your own happiness over others and still be enough.

Take a deep breath in,

Falling into a deeper connection with your truest self and exhale out,

Softening into your heart.

Now I'll invite you to call on a time where you put the need to be accepted aside and chose to instead honour your own self-worth and inner truth.

What did that feel like for you?

See if you could recall a time where you allowed your truest self to be expressed.

A time where you were authentic and living in alignment with your truest self.

How did this feel like for you?

Paint the picture in your mind and invite the feeling of being free to fully express yourself into your body.

And now call on the time when you were proud of yourself.

What did you do or achieve?

How did this feel like for you?

Take a moment to paint the picture in your mind and invite the feeling of pride and self-achievement into your body.

Take a deep breath in and let it out.

Now placing both hands over your heart space,

Allow any moments or situations to arise where you felt judged,

Not accepted or treated unfairly.

Breathing through these feelings and allowing any felt senses to surface.

Forgive yourself for letting others tell you how you should feel.

Forgive yourself for accepting the thoughts and opinions of others as your truth.

Forgive yourself for forgetting your own personal power.

And when you're ready,

You can state to yourself out loud.

I am enough.

I've always been enough.

Every experience that I've ever had,

As painful,

As challenging and as unfair as they may have been,

They needed to occur to make me strong and resilient.

To make me forgiving,

To make me kinder,

To make me more compassionate,

To make me wiser and to facilitate the greatness of my own potential.

Pouring into your heart center.

Visualize your heart opening up like a pink rose.

Visualize a pink beautiful light pouring into your heart,

Gifting you with a deep love and appreciation for yourself.

Let the love and warmth of this pink light permeate you from your heart center,

Flowing to the rest of your body.

Seal your heart overflowing with love.

Your entire being is filled with love.

Breathe here and know that love is always available for you when you need it.

Taking in a deep,

Loving,

Nurturing breath and exhaling out.

Bring your awareness back into your body and the room that surrounds you.

Starting to add some gentle movement back into your body by wiggling your fingers and toes.

And allow the soft curve of a gentle smile to fall on your lips.

Taking a few more deep,

Mindful breaths.

And with gratitude and deep reverence,

Thank yourself for prioritizing these few moments of self-care today.

Once you're ready,

You can softly open your eyes.

Thank you for joining me in another meditation.

I hope that you were able to tune into your own physical and emotional needs.

When you honor yourself and to self-love,

You build a stronger relationship with yourself and are able to show up more fully in your life.

Before moving on with your day,

Take a few moments to sit here quietly and reflect on the experience you had during this meditation.

You can use the following prompts to guide your reflection if you wish.

Just for today,

How can I nurture myself?

How can I celebrate the authenticity,

Creativity,

And kindness within me?

How can I be patient with myself?

How can I love,

Value,

And honor myself?

Come back to this meditation whenever you need to create a loving space for yourself.

Until next time,

Wishing you a beautiful rest of your day.
