This is a five minute meditation for intuitive and mindful eating.
It's wonderful to do right before we sit down to have a meal or even a snack.
Or if we know we are on the go and consuming food while we are walking,
While we are driving,
While we are working.
This can be a wonderful option to help come back to body before consumption of our food.
So I want you to start by,
If it's possible for you,
Closing your eyes.
If you are driving,
Please refrain from closing your eyes.
And begin to come into breath.
And for some people right away it feels nice to place their hand on their navel or their hand on their heart.
Perhaps one hand on both plays.
And inhale with me.
And exhale with me.
Let's take two more breaths just like that.
Inhale.
And exhale.
Inhale.
And exhale.
Just with those few breaths,
I want you to begin to bring awareness into your belly,
Into your stomach,
Into your torso.
And simply acknowledging if it feels tight,
If it feels sucked in,
If it feels released and relaxed.
If you hear or feel any grumbling in your stomach.
And this is a check in with body,
With our internal organs,
Right?
So we're doing away with the mind.
We're giving grace to our body.
And we're giving appreciation to the nourishment that food provides us.
And I want you to look down at your plate or your bowl or your container or your snack.
And it can be a literal look or figurative look if your eyes are open or if they're closed.
And I want you to view this food as energy,
As literal vibration.
And with another breath,
I want you to energetically digest this food figuratively.
Meaning we're sending that energy straight down to our belly,
To our organs,
To our bloodstream,
To our limbs,
All the way to our 10 fingers,
10 toes.
Feeling into the energetic benefit of food consumption and nourishment.
Going all the way to our cells,
Our mitochondria that are our little powerhouses in each and every cell,
Creating energy for us,
Converting glucose into energy.
Take another deep inhale breath and exhale this time out your mouth,
Let it go.
And come back to placing one hand on heart and one hand on navel if you've drifted from that place.
And I want you to recite to yourself three times over,
I am worthy of nourishment.
I am worthy of nourishment.
One last time,
I am worthy of nourishment.
I hope you enjoyed this mindful intuitive eating meditation and may you enjoy all that you are about to consume.
