Hi,
My name is Neha Shah.
I am a psychologist and also the director of ISRA Centre for Transformation.
Today I am going to take you through a beautiful letting go journey.
And for this experience,
I would like you to sit or lie down in a space where you would remain undisturbed for some time.
This is a journey that helps you go inward.
So it's important that you take that time out for yourself where you can remain undisturbed.
Once you've settled yourself in comfortably,
Just close your eyes.
And with your eyes closed,
Focus on your breath as you breathe in and you breathe out.
If there are any thoughts,
Any tensions,
Any upsets running in your head,
Just allow them to come and pass.
Allow every breath to take you to a deeper and a quieter space.
Now in your mind's eye,
Visualize that you're taking a walk down into a valley.
Going down is always symbolic of going into your subconscious mind.
As you descend into this valley,
You notice with delight how beautiful it is.
Lush and green,
Flowers everywhere,
Birds and butterflies,
Trees and a gentle stream of water.
Find a comfortable place to sit on the bank of this stream.
Settle down and relax.
It is so peaceful and so safe here.
It's a wonderful place for letting go.
Ask yourself,
What is it that I need to let go?
It could be some incidences of the past.
Some people,
Some situations which may have caused you pain.
Allow them to come to your awareness.
Notice where are you carrying the pain,
Upset and anger in your body even now.
For how long have you been carrying it?
Notice how much it's weighing you down.
Now in this very safe space,
Allow yourself to take all the negative feelings out of your body and hold it in the palms of your hand.
Look at this ball of negative feelings from every angle.
How big is it?
What is the texture?
What is the color?
Ask yourself if you really want to keep it any longer.
Are you willing to let it go now?
Gently place the ball of negative feelings in the stream.
Watch the current of water dissolve all the hurt and suffering as it drifts away.
Feel the water flowing against your hand,
Washing it clean.
Notice how glad you feel to have released all that old stuff.
Give yourself a moment of peace on the bank of this stream.
Lay back against the grass and just breathe.
Now ask yourself where do you need to forgive yourself?
What do you need to forgive yourself for?
There is no need to keep punishing yourself.
You were doing the best you could at that time with the knowledge and awareness that you had then and you are constantly learning and growing.
Forgive yourself and set yourself free.
Feel the freedom of this release.
Now slowly walk up from the bank of this stream.
Notice how light and free you feel.
The sunshine looks brighter and it dries you instantly.
The colors and the sounds are more vivid.
As you walk up out of the valley,
You leave the old pain behind and you feel the space opening in your heart,
Feeling the energy beginning to flow.
You feel so peaceful and so alive.
Life looks good and you know that all is well in your world.
Slowly bring your awareness back to the room and gently whenever you are ready,
Open your eyes.
Take some time to experience this fully and whenever you are ready,
You can resume your activities.
There is a huge freedom in release and letting go and it's wonderful that you know how to do it.
So thank you and have a great day ahead.
