I'm Rev Skip,
And welcome to Wellness is a Way of Life.
This is a series of four meditations helping you to connect with your body temple and the wellness practice that is right for you.
This is meditation number three,
And we're focusing on nutrition and mindful eating practices.
So if you're ready,
Let's begin.
I invite you to get into a place where your body feels relaxed.
You can do this meditation seated,
Standing,
Or lying on your back.
I invite you to stay awake and aware.
If it feels right for you,
Go ahead and close your eyes.
Let's begin with some centering breaths.
I invite you to begin to breathe in through the nostrils.
Take a nice deep breath in,
And a big exhale.
Let's do that again.
Take a nice deep breath in through the nostrils,
And a nice,
Slow,
Long exhale.
And one more time.
Take a nice deep breath in through the nostrils,
And hold the breath at the top,
Allowing a place for you to feel the energy and the vibration of the breath.
And as slow as you can,
Release the breath through your mouth.
And as we focus in on our eating,
Let's begin with the oath of wellness.
I invite you to repeat after me,
Aloud or silently.
I will meet my body right where I am.
I will love my body right where I am.
I will allow healing to begin now.
I am whole and complete from the start.
I will not judge myself nor accept the judgments from others.
Take a moment just to breathe in the agreement you have made with yourself.
And as we begin to remind ourself about our eating practices,
This is not a time for shaming or blaming.
It is a time for reconnecting with the practice,
With the right foods for you.
So we begin with the contemplative question.
How can I nourish my body with foods that align with my wellness goals?
Let's ask this question again.

So let's take a deep breath in and a big exhale.

Feel the gratitude for the ability to choose nourishing food and a big exhale.
So this week I want you to carry this awareness with you.
You make choices that align your wellness goals.
You set the intention.
Be with it.
And when you're ready,
