The second part of Tuning Your Body for Vocal Activation,
A three-part meditation series,
Is an invitation to embody love,
To vibrate at the frequency of love,
With a deep spring clean to clear away any cobwebs of your heart and replace them with kindness.
You may begin by laying down or sitting tall with a long spine.
Take a deep breath in through the nose,
Open mouth exhale.
Another deep breath in to fill the lungs,
Soft gentle exhale through the mouth.
Another full breath in,
This time exhale with an ah.
Bring your palms together and start to rub them and create some heat.
And then place your hands on your heart and just feel your breath.
Feel your hands,
Feeling your chest,
Then feel your chest,
Feeling your hands.
Continue to breathe into the space behind your heart,
Opening the breath throughout your ribcage and spine,
Feeling the expansion surrounding your heart.
You're welcome to keep your hands here or release them down by your side.
Now begin to visualize your heart as a room inside your house.
And first just notice how this room feels,
What feeling do you get when you walk inside the room?
And then with each breath your senses start to heighten,
You can see inside the room,
Noticing what's there,
What objects are inside your heart,
What people are inside your heart.
What places,
What memories,
What sensations live inside the room of your heart?
Perhaps you can hear sounds.
What does the room smell?
You start to look around more closely and notice there is a plant inside the room,
Potted with soil in the center of the room.
How does this plant look to you?
Is the soil dry or moist?
Are there any leaves that have wilted?
Perhaps the plant needs pruning.
After taking in the plant,
You notice a watering can beside it.
You see the water inside is shimmering,
Luminescent,
And sparkly.
You decide to pick up the watering can and immediately you feel hydrated and whole.
So you start to sprinkle some water onto the plant,
Offering nourishment and love and care.
With each drop of water,
The leaves start to revitalize,
They start to get green.
The greenest shades of green you can imagine.
Each leaf turns lush and plump with prana.
And the plant begins to grow,
A little taller,
A little prouder.
Take a few steps back and watch the plant.
This plant represents your growth and the love it takes to nourish life.
Restoring your own life,
The life of others,
The life of an idea or creative project.
What parts of your heart need a little nourishment?
What dead leaves can you restore by offering love?
You take a few more moments and pause to breathe in the richness of this plant.
Observing the healing that has occurred.
You thank the plant.
You slowly begin to walk out of the room,
Out of your heart.
You do so with a sense of trust.
Knowing that when the plant needs nourishment again,
You will feel it,
Acknowledge it.
And feed it.
Take a deep breath here into your heart center.
With an open mouth exhale,
Release a cleansing breath.
Slowly returning to your space.
Perhaps returning with your hands at your heart.
And gently opening your eyes.
Revitalized.
