Before you begin this meditation,
Take a few moments to tune into your body and observe your energy.
Just notice where tension or pain is being held.
As you focus your awareness on your body,
Pause where it seems out of balance and ask yourself what is going on there.
Be playful and open,
Allowing any expectations you might have to simply fall away.
As you access deeper meaning from your experiences,
You begin the awakening process of bringing unconscious motivation and behavior into the light of awareness and understanding.
Be seated,
Close your eyes and begin.
Focus on the rhythm of your breath as you tune into your posture.
Allow your back to straighten and relax.
Shoulders back,
Feet firmly on the floor.
Place your hands on the tops of your thighs and turn them palm up,
Open to receive.
Notice your breath,
The natural rhythm of your breathing,
And allow it to slowly bring you into a state of balance.
Just place your awareness there and as you inhale,
Bring in a sense of peace.
And as you exhale,
Let go.
Open your breathing now.
As you inhale,
Bring breath all the way to your toes.
As you exhale,
Begin to consciously let go of any tension you are holding in your body.
Inhale,
Bringing vitality and limitless energy into every cell.
Exhale,
Allowing your thoughts to smooth out and drop into the background.
Slowly let go of your thoughts,
Feelings,
And emotions as you allow yourself to float in the peace of detachment.
Focus on a mistake you've made,
A failure,
And as gently as you can,
Fall back into the waves of thought and emotion that swirl around the experience.
Float into a place of detached observation and be willing to see the experience as your teacher.
Go past the surface.
Go beneath the story and sit quietly.
Be still now and ask.
Ask to become aware of its purpose in your life and slowly and gently open to recognizing the deeper message.
Look to see the opportunities to grow and the wisdom to be gained that are woven into every experience.
Visualize or feel your entire body surrounded by the energy of peace once more as you begin to focus on the calming and familiar rhythm of your breathing.
Visualize you find your center and when you are ready,
Open your eyes and return to the room.
