Welcome,
It's so good to have you here with me.
My name is Sim and we're going to be spending time together exploring the inner nature,
Our connection,
The ecology that we are intricately connected to nature,
To Mother Earth,
To our environment in ways that our mind can't fully comprehend but in ways that our body can sense the restoration,
The healing,
The inspiration that comes when we spend time tending to nature,
Listening,
Watching,
Expressing wonder and creative expression.
You will have your own relationship with nature,
Your own experiences and you can draw on those through the suggestions that I make in this meditation to visualize and to yes recall those wonderful times that you've spent.
Times of wonder and awe where you've just got that spark of inspiration and insight to something,
Solving a puzzle,
Whatever it might be.
So let's begin by positioning comfortably,
Let yourself be in the most comfortable position perhaps lying down,
Resting your head comfortably.
Allowing for my voice and the music to soothe and to guide you and to lull you into a very beautiful inner focus.
Allowing for the imagination to open,
To explore and to wonder.
And all the time your body continues to rest,
To relax.
With each breath that you take,
The body is soothed and comforted.
Bringing your attention to the area of your heart,
Holding a sense of loving-kindness and embrace yourself with that throughout the practice.
A wonderful opportunity to really acknowledge,
To be grateful for all that nature has provided for you,
For your family,
For friends and community.
And so yes just resting back with your eyes closed,
Focusing in on the area of your heart.
Noticing as you breathe comfortably that gentle rise and fall as you exhale.
And so now get that sense of opening up to the wonderful possibilities of the imagination where you can fly freely through the sky,
Where you can dive into the ocean deep and swim or float on your back on the surface of the water,
Gazing up at the sky and the colorful clouds.
Gently allow yourself to enter this space through your imagination.
You are guided by the healing,
Loving energy of nature.
And as you bring your awareness where your attention follows or flows like light,
Your attention is like a sunbeam,
Warming,
Illuminating,
Nurturing growth.
So your attention goes,
Life begins to flourish.
What does that mean for you right now in your life?
Where does the light radiating from your heart wish to flow,
To be guided,
Nature unfolding before you.
And perhaps now you can see or imagine and sense yourself in your most beautiful sacred landscape or seascape.
Your inner nature represented to you today.
How does it appear to you?
And can you get that sense of the freedom,
Walking lightly or floating more deeply,
Relaxed in this beautiful space of inspiration.
Allow yourself to be there now with no real expectations,
Just surrendering into what unfolds for you,
What does arise,
Relaxed in this beautiful space of inspiration.
And now you imagine this beautiful space wanting to give back,
Feeling connected,
Present and alive.
You have a sense of purpose,
A knowing that part of you is something greater than your mind or your intelligence can comprehend.
And you can be open to be guided,
Trusting in your intuition,
Trusting in the light of your attention that where you place your attention will flourish.
And you might like to just gently,
Quietly repeat to yourself the following affirmations,
A commitment to nature.
May I do no harm.
May I walk lightly on this earth.
May I be mindful in my actions.
May I continue to learn.
May I contribute to the harmony with nature,
With others.
May I contribute to the harmony within myself.
And as you feel these words settling into your heart,
Resting in this space that you have created,
Feel your connection deepen to the earth,
To your environment,
To your community and family,
To yourself.
Coming back to that place within your heart where you can hold and nurture your growth,
Learning more and more each day how to take care of this beautiful planet,
To be grateful for all that it provides,
For the trees that provide the air that you breathe and for the life that you live,
That we all live.
And so with this gratitude allow a quiet intention to form,
An intention to live with care,
Awareness,
Compassion.
Nature,
Her ecosystems are so intricately connected and interconnected.
As a human being you are part of this,
I am part of this,
We're all part of this ecology.
Let's bring compassion in our choices that we contribute in our own way.
Where your attention goes,
Where your attention flows will flourish.
And so now coming back again to your body,
Resting so comfortably,
Acknowledging,
Noticing the feelings that arise in your body as you give attention to your face,
Bringing your attention down to your hands,
Noticing how your body is feeling.
A lovely lightness,
A joy that can arise that you can experience through the ideas and inspirations that have come to you.
And being able to bring that back as you reorientate yourself back into the room,
You can feel and sense your body in the room.
You might be able to notice sounds inside or outside,
Just really taking your time to reorientate yourself back to the here and now.
And so wriggling your fingers and rolling your shoulders back,
Fully connected now and opening your eyes,
Looking around having a bit of a stretch,
Ready for your everyday activities.
And return back to this practice whenever you feel the inspiration and the inclination.
