Good morning.
Today we're going to practice an open heart meditation.
An open heart so you can move from a place of authenticity.
One of my favorite authors,
Brene Brown,
Talks a lot about authenticity.
But the greater question is how do we move from a place of authenticity?
So Brene talks a lot about vulnerability.
She has these guideposts,
Authenticity,
Self-love,
Meaningful work.
How do we get to those places?
Her answer is being vulnerable.
The answer is not to be vulnerable with everyone anywhere.
The key is to be vulnerable with a person that we hold dear to our heart that can hold sacred space for us to share our story.
And we do it in this way because it's easy to be a critic.
It's easy to look at someone and point fingers and say out loud what they're doing wrong.
And so the practice then becomes to keep an open heart,
To be authentic,
To practice vulnerability so that we can learn to be the person that looks at the other and see what they're doing right.
Look at their accomplishments.
Look at how far they've come.
Look at how they're growing.
Look at how they're choosing to evolve.
Look at how they're challenging themselves.
Look at how they're putting themselves out there.
And so by practicing an open heart,
We create this foundation of openness for us to move into an authentic place,
For us to feel safe practicing vulnerability,
For us to be able to look at ourselves and see what we're doing right.
Taking moments to celebrate our own accomplishments.
Feeling seen in her.
Let's take a few deep breaths now.
Perhaps a few audible sounds.
Let's bring the palms together at heart center in prayer,
Gesture,
Anjali mudra.
Pressing the little fingers and the thumbs into each other.
Let's try to pull the palms away from one another.
So you have this sort of cupping action going on inside the hands.
The pads of little fingers are gently touching and the outer edges of the thumbs are pressing into each other.
As you continue to press little fingers into one another and thumb into thumb,
Start to peel away the other fingers.
So the ring,
The middle and the pointer are stretching outwardly and upward.
Here we have our lotus flower.
Open,
Beautiful,
Being seen,
Vulnerable.
Delicate,
Floating,
Peaceful,
Calm.
Let's stand in the sacred ground.
Let's honor our lotus flower and bring its intention into our heart center.
Today let's visualize a pink lotus flower.
A pastel pink with hues of brighter pink around the edges.
And same color emanating from our heart center.
An open heart is infinite.
An open heart loves infinitely,
An open heart allows things to flow through.
An open heart feels but does not grasp or attach to the emotion or the experience.
It feels deeply,
Intensely,
Fully and then allows the experience to drift away.
An open heart is spacious,
Full of compassion,
Understanding,
Forgiveness,
Kindness.
Whatever shows up in your life,
Wow it's a surface and then let it go.
It's there for an understanding.
See if you can step back and look at the big picture.
Move away from defining yourself in that moment.
Step back,
Open your heart,
Bigger picture.
And you observe the experience without reacting to it,
Giving yourself time to drop into your open heart.
As you raise your vibrations of your heart to compassion,
To understanding and into the frequency of love,
You will attract more and more events and circumstances vibrating at the frequencies of love,
Compassion and understanding.
An open heart is a healthy heart,
Allowing the free flow of energy from our lower chakras,
Our lower energy wheels into our higher chakras and permitting a cleansing from our higher chakras down into our lower chakras called Aparna.
May you walk into your day today with an open heart.
May this open heart inspire you to move authentically,
To speak authentically,
To think authentically and to feel authentically,
Easing into authenticity from a place of vulnerability which requires an open heart.
May your day and your life be full of love and faith and trust.
Bring these frequencies out into the cosmos.
Generate the same in return.
Receiving love,
Faith and trust.
Be well now.
Be open now.
Love now.
Have faith now.
Trust now.
Namaste.
