This mantra meditation will be your daily practice.
It's a practice that's ancient,
That all the masters teach their students in order to calm and control the mind,
To bring the focus to the eternal principle of all that is.
And we start with a very simple mantra,
Om Soham.
In English it means I am that.
You can choose either Sanskrit which harmonizes both hemispheres of the brain and all the internal rhythms.
Or you can also repeat in English.
Try both and see what you feel most resonates for you.
But this mantra is passed from ancient times to us today and it will bring us back as we concentrate on it with our mala every day back to our source.
Sitting comfortably,
Sitting tall and taking your mala.
Use your right hand in between your thumb,
Your middle finger,
You'll move the beads.
Om Soham.
Once per bead.
We never cross the guru bead.
It stores and transforms our energy,
Taking it to higher planes.
After 108 repetitions around the mala you turn and go the other direction.
Never crossing the guru bead.
Sitting comfortably and relaxed,
Breathing freely,
Allowing yourself this time.
Say to yourself,
I now give this time for my inner awakening.
And for the time being I have no expectations or obligations.
I'm free to do my daily practice and I enjoy this time,
This gift which I give to myself,
My inner self.
And deeply inhale and long exhale a few times.
We'll chant Om together to begin three times.
Take a deep inhalation.
Om.
Om.
Om.
And then moving the beads as you repeat the mantra.
Om Soham.
I am that.
I am that.
Allowing all of your attention to focus only on the mantra,
On the movement of the beads through your fingers and in your being here right now,
Meditating.
Just be here with your thoughts and awareness.
Gradually it'll be easier and easier.
You'll find after some time the moment you sit,
Take your mala and begin.
Your mind will be focused.
Then you can use the practice anywhere at any time to connect to source energy,
To be calm and peaceful always and to know that the power that resides within you will overcome anything that you have to face in life.
Allowing your face now to relax and the edges of your lips as you relax your jaw just slightly turn up.
When you're relaxed and at peace you look beautiful and you have a beautiful expression on your face.
This looks beautiful on you.
I relax relax your face.
You don't need to strive for anything right now.
You are perfect.
I am that I am.
Om Soham.
It's simple.
It's easy and it's so natural.
Yogis have done this through all time.
They bring the wave of the mind into harmony.
Steady the mind.
Guide the mind inward.
Remind the inner being that we are more than this world.
That we're infinite.
One with the infinite.
Keep moving the beads.
Repeating a mantra.
If you have your own personal mantra of course you can repeat that.
It should be a mantra passed down from a guru who knows the essence of that mantra and of your mind.
We're using the mantra which is the inner sound.
The sound you can hear in deep meditation on the breath.
When you inhale there's an inner sound you can hear in deep meditation.
So all that exists outside exists within me and when you exhale hum.
The sound of the breath exhaling the resonance the vibration is hum.
And it means that all that exists within me exists in the outer wall.
Therefore there's no seeking to do outside.
My seeking now within is the greatest time spent.
This is the purpose of my life.
To know all that I am.
From where I come and to where I'm going.
Know and realize my purpose here.
To be one with that.
Keep repeating the mantra.
And breathing freely and relaxed.
Relax and drop down on your shoulders and your elbows.
And let any weight that you've been carrying for yourself or others drop.
You don't have any responsibility in this moment but do your inner self.
Relax.
Relax your shoulders.
And ease any tension around your navel and relax your stomach.
Sitting tall for a few more minutes or until you complete the rounds of the Mahala that you set to do.
Neither one or three or five.
Enjoy.
Every time you repeat the mantra and move the beads it sends through your whole being a spark of lightning.
Electromagnetic energy that wakes up the cells of your body.
Brings you health,
Vitality,
Purity,
Awareness of your consciousness.
So you become more aware.
More aware of yourself and others.
And you feel a connection with this world.
That you're part of it and you're important in it.
Your being here in this world is very important.
And you have a role to play.
And that's very important.
I am that I am.
Be one with the infinite.
One with the universal light.
Another mantra,
Very dear,
Om Namah Shivaya.
Universal consciousness is one.
Finish coming towards the end of our meditation.
Chant for a little while mantra,
Om Namah Shivaya.
The same way repeating once for each bead moving to the next.
It's okay to miss a bead or pause.
With practice it'll become so natural.
Sometimes it's a good thing to be lost in that oneness.
Where there's no need to do anything.
Receive light into your whole being.
Feel that you're light.
Through the mantra you receive and you acknowledge the source of that light.
Grateful for what comes to you in the form of knowledge,
Understanding and wisdom.
Finishing this mala.
And then breathing a little more deeply.
Placing the mala back on your neck when you're ready.
And aware of where you are right now.
In the space that surrounds you.
Deep inhale and exhale feeling your body moving,
Expanding and contracting as you breathe.
Moving your fingers,
Toes and chanting Om together three times in the peace mantra to conclude our practice today.
Om Shanti Shanti Shanti Shanti If you want to continue your meditation you can.
Otherwise bring your palms together and rub your hands as usual warming them up.
Bringing the energy in between your palms.
Most amount of energy in the body flows through the hands.
But bringing that to yourself,
To your face when they're warm.
Even hot is good.
Warming your face.
Massaging your forehead.
Massaging your eyelids and jaw and any way you feel on your face.
Eyes open behind your palms when you're ready.
And bow forward.
When you come forward from sitting or kneeling and head is lower than your heart.
Encourages a circulation to flow into your head.
Making you a lot aware and time to extrovert your focus into the outer world.
The day or evening ahead in grace,
In harmony and with peace.
Have a wonderful time.
