Poetic Remedy - The Pattern Maker

Do you feel like you are in a state of perpetual waiting right now? These are the times we face...but could our liminality be symbolic of the work required to create the future we want to walk into? To 'chalk out the pattern' of what's inevitably to come? Things will change. They will because that is what life is - and although we can't see it right now - the pattern we are working on is creating the skin we will wear in the future. Hold on and keep the faith...all is coming. All is changing.

Right now,

In this quiet and slow space,

You are the pattern maker,

Lightly chalking out what is to come,

Taking measurements and eyeing out the lines of what will soon take the shape of your becoming.

You are fastening and trimming,

Holding dreams and spells together with pushpins,

Mending tears and frays with the extra scrap of resilience you were gifted so many generations ago,

And binding it all together through the thick salt of your body.

Soon these rough patterns will become the silk of your skin,

The golden threads that follow the curves and folds of your inward journey.

And all this time of silence and hard work and reparation will unhem your heart so freely that it allows you to walk into this future,

Truly tailored by the hands of love.
