Morning meditation for clarity and calm.
Good morning and welcome to the start of a brand new day.
Take the time to make yourself comfortable,
Whether that be sitting on the floor,
A chair or lying down.
And as we begin,
Resist the urge to start thinking through your day.
Instead,
Simply allow your body to exist in this space.
Warm and comfortable after a healing sleep.
Allow yourself to just sit and breathe.
Now I invite you to take in three deep breaths.
In through the nose and allowing the breath to drop down into the stomach area.
And on each out-breath make sure you release fully.
Releasing the whole breath.
In through the nose.
And exhale to release the full breath.
Now release the deep breaths and allow your breath to rest on its own natural rhythm.
Following the gentle flow of the inhale and the exhale.
And at this point in time don't try to block out any noises or distractions you may hear.
Simply listen,
Observe and resist attaching to the sound.
Just acknowledge and then allow it to fade into the background.
If you find any thoughts,
Feelings or emotions arise,
Allow them to be.
Again,
Resist the urge to engage in these and simply allow them to float by.
If you do find yourself becoming distracted,
Be gentle with yourself.
Simply acknowledge and then with kindness guide your awareness back to your breath,
To your anchor in this moment.
Following the flow of the inhale and the exhale.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
And as you drop deeper into your meditation,
Into the stillness,
Pause to centre your energy.
You may find that your mind has wandered to thoughts of the day ahead.
Release this need and give yourself permission to rest back into this moment.
To be entirely present in this moment.
For the next few breaths allow your mind to rest,
To relax,
To centre and to ground you.
You feel calm and your body and your mind feel still.
Through the breath you allow your body and mind to come into total alignment,
To prepare you to move through your day.
As I read through the affirmations,
Allow them to gently wash over you.
Or if you wish,
You can silently repeat them to yourself.
I am calm,
Relaxed and peaceful.
I let go of any negative feelings about myself,
My life and accept all that is good.
I choose to focus on the positive.
My day begins and ends with gratitude and joy.
I will be a better version of myself today.
I will make the most of this day.
I will release the things out of my control.
I will remind myself that I am enough.
So as you embrace the stillness of this moment,
Breathe and welcome this new day.
Be open to new experiences.
Find strength to face your challenges.
And as you move through today,
Remember to breathe in joy and strength.
Breathe out wisdom and peace.
And as we draw to the end of this meditation,
Begin to bring your awareness back into the space around you.
Bring gentle movement to your fingers and your toes.
Begin to deepen your breath and awaken your body.
And on your next exhale,
You can slowly open your eyes,
Coming back into the present moment.
