Welcome to your meditation for a deep and restful sleep.

I invite you to get in a comfortable position that is both restful and relaxing.

And let's take a nice slow deep breath in.

And as you exhale just allow the eyes to gently close.

Again another nice deep breath in.

And as you exhale let all the breath go.

Another deep breath in.

And as you exhale I invite you to rest into the stillness at the bottom of the exhale.

Feeling your energy still.

And your mind grow calm.

Inhale and feel the breath cleanse the body and the mind of the day.

And with each exhale feel yourself release and relax.

Feel yourself rest heavier into the surface below.

Allow in each breath to settle you in the present moment.

And give yourself permission to let go of the day.

To let go of any thoughts or worries.

There is nowhere else you need to be.

There is nothing else you need to be doing.

Give your mind permission to wind down and rest.

Give your body permission to let go and relax.

Continue taking slow deep nourishing breaths.

Allow each breath to move through the body to relax and release.

Gently scan through the body from the crown of the head down to the soles of the feet.

And notice any places where you may be holding stress or tension.

Notice any areas of tightness or discomfort.

And use the breath to breathe into these areas to soften,

To release.

Relax the face.

Release the jaw.

Soften the eyes.

Open the palms of the hands.

Notice any other places where you still be holding tension.

Breathe into that space and allow the breath to soften,

To release.

Allow the breath to settle onto its own natural rhythm.

And just gently rest your awareness on the flow of the breath.

Using the gentle rhythm as your anchor as you settle into sleep.

I invite you to set an intention for a restful sleep.

A sleep that is peaceful,

Restful,

Deep and relaxing.

Allowing your intention to settle in.

Allow the feelings of restfulness,

Peace,

Relaxation and ease to wash over you.

And as you drift into this restful slumber,

Allow these affirmations to wash over you.

I am grateful for today.

I feel calm and at peace.

I let go of my responsibilities of the day.

I let go of worry.

I am still and calm.

I breathe deeply and slowly.

I give myself permission to do nothing.

I release the anxieties and stress of the day.

I give myself permission to sleep deeply.

My body feels heavy and relaxed.

I embrace rest.

I welcome sleep.

I let go of my responsibilities of the day.
