Welcome to this prayer.
Healing for heavy holiday hearts.
It's sometimes not easy for many of us in these times where we're supposed to be joyful.
There's a lot of stress and there's a lot of a lot of memories that perhaps might not feel good.
And so it is my intention that these words echo from your own heart,
Resonating a chord of hope,
Courage,
And tapping into that inner strength and that compassion for self.
I invite you to place your hands in your heart and breathe into whatever is alive for you in this moment without judging it.
And imagine it just melting out on an audible breath.
Repeating that a couple of times as you just let go and just surrender.
Nothing to do other than be here now,
Letting it go.
Dear great mystery,
Source of all life,
The god,
Goddess energy,
Called by a thousand names.
I call on my guides,
Angels,
And ancestors to hear my humble words.
As I come in this season,
It's not easy.
And I ask for your assistance,
Your guidance.
I'm not a victim of my story,
But as one who has lived it.
And my heart knows the landscape of sorrow,
But my spirit knows the art of survival.
Today I choose not to dwell in the shadows,
But to honor the resilient core of light within me.
Help me acknowledge the truth of my journey,
The battles I have fought in silence,
The disappointments that have reshaped me,
The moments that I have felt so alone.
I hold these memories not as burdens,
But as a testament to my fortitude.
The fires endured have not consumed me.
They have tempered my soul,
Making it stronger and more true.
With this breath,
My past does not define my future.
And the pain has been a powerful teacher.
And I am grateful for all that I have experienced.
And I remind myself that I'm doing the best that I can with what I have and where I am.
Help my heart open to pour more love and compassion for myself and all those around me.
I let go of the past,
The wounds,
The pain.
And I know today is a new day.
But the beauty of life,
In the smallest of moments,
May I find grace.
In this season,
May I find the evidence of my own transformation.
May I see it in a way I speak to myself with more kindness.
In my ability to find calm amidst the chaos.
In the moments I choose peace.
For my heart that knows heaviness,
I call in a new lightness of being.
For my spirit that has known weariness,
I call in a vibrant current of creative energy.
And for my mind that has known worry and fear,
I call in a deep,
Unshakable trust in my own unfolding journey.
Thank you for the strength that was forged in me through my experiences.
Thank you for the clarity that was born from confusion.
Thank you for the dawn that is breaking in my life,
Promising a new day filled with infinite possibilities.
My heart is sealed in this truth.
It is done.
And I am so grateful.
Thank you.
Amen.
