Welcome to this meditation Inner Child.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath in,
Filling your lungs with air.
Slowly exhale,
Allowing your body to relax.
Feeling the tension in your shoulders,
Neck and face melt away as you settle into this peaceful moment.
With each inhale feel your body becoming more grounded and with each exhale let go of any stress or worry.
Allow your mind to become quiet.
Focus only on your breath.
Now I want you to imagine a safe and comforting place.
This could be a place from your childhood or somewhere in nature or a completely imaginary sanctuary.
It's a place where you feel secured,
Loved and at ease.
Notice the details of this place,
The colors,
The sounds,
The smells.
Feel the safety and warmth that it brings you.
In this safe space picture your inner child approaching.
This is the younger version of you,
Perhaps at an age when you felt vulnerable or in need of comfort.
Notice how your inner child looks.
What do you see,
What do you feel and what do you hear when your inner child is approaching you?
What is your inner child wearing?
What is the facial expression?
Which emotions do you see when you look at your inner child?
Take a moment to really see your inner child as your inner child approaches you.
Your inner child comes closer and closer and it becomes more vivid,
More colors,
Closer and closer to you.
Gently invite your inner child to sit next to you.
Let your inner child know this is a place where they are completely safe,
Where they can express themselves freely.
You are here to listen,
To take care of your inner child and provide the love and attention that it's asking for.
Ask your inner child what it needs,
What it's longing for.
Feel what you feel and see what you see and hear what you hear when you look at your inner child.
As you sit together,
Place your hand over your heart and feel the warmth of your hand and let the warmth spread to your inner child.
Imagine this warmth as a golden light radiating from your heart and surrounding your inner child.
This light is a symbol of your love,
Protection and acceptance.
Begin to speak to your inner child silently or aloud.
You might say,
I see you,
I am here with you,
You are safe and I love you just as you are.
Or maybe give other words that feel right for you,
Whatever comes from the heart,
Say it to your inner child.
Listen to what your inner child might want to say to you.
They may express feelings,
Thoughts or needs.
Allow your inner child to communicate freely.
Does your inner child feel sad,
Scared,
Lonely,
Unsafe?
Be sure your inner child that you're here to protect and comfort.
You're here.
Let them know that the feelings your inner child has are valid and that your inner child is not alone.
If your inner child needs comfort,
Offer it.
You might imagine hugging your inner child,
Holding hands or simply sit close by.
Let your inner child feel your presence and your unconditional love.
Spend as much time as you need in this moment.
Allow the connection between you and your inner child to grow stronger.
Feel what your inner child needs right now because your inner child is still part of you.
Feel the bond of trust and safety building with each breath.
Take a deep breath in.
Take a deep breath out.
What does your inner child need?
What do you need to do differently today in order for your inner child to feel happy,
Free and playful?
Give another hug to your inner child.
Hold your inner child really tight and tell your inner child that you love them so much,
That you will do your best to be there for them.
Tell them that you love them.
Tell your inner child that you love them so much.
Ask your inner child if there is anything that is bothering him or her right now.
Is there something that they are feeling that they might need help with?
And if so,
What can you do?
Tell your inner child that it is okay to go and play and be a child.
Tell your inner child that you are the adult now and they don't have to worry.
They can play and have fun because you are here now and you are the adult.
Your inner child can be safe now and go play.
Because you as an adult will take care of your inner child.
Because you are not a child anymore,
You will be there for them.
Tell your inner child to go and play and be a child again.
That your inner child is safe because you protect them.
And you are at an age that you are very good in protecting yourself.
And when you are ready,
Begin to gently guide your inner child back to where they feel most comfortable.
Assure them that you will always be there for them.
And that your inner child can come to you whenever it needs support and love.
Slowly bring your awareness back to your breath.
Take a deep inhale and as you exhale,
Feel the connection to your inner child settle deeply within you.
Wiggle your toes and your fingers.
And when you are ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Take a moment to sit quietly,
Acknowledging the connection you've made with your inner child.
Carry this feeling of love and safety and connection with you as you move through your day,
Knowing that you are always capable of offering comfort and care for yourself and your inner child.
Thank you for meditating with me.
Have a beautiful day filled with love and positivity.
