Yodha Nidra,

A practice for when we don't know what else to do.

Allowing yourself to be right where you are.

Finding your breath,

Getting as comfortable as possible.

Letting yourself fall in love with the absurdity of life.

Even that with yourself,

With others,

With life itself.

Why not set an intention for love when we don't know what else to do and we're tired of the rat race trying so hard.

Just taking some time to let go and not try to fix anything or change anything.

Let any parts dominate or give any parts a hard time.

Just simply allowing yourself to set an intention for your practice to be right where you are.

To be with your breath.

Allowing that resource in on the in-breath.

Allowing release on the out-breath.

Keeping the practice simple.

Perhaps a heartfelt desire to suffer less.

To connect with nature,

Our true nature.

A place where it's okay to be right where we are.

To invite some loving in.

To be loved and to love.

Maybe even taking a moment to allow yourself to visualize a place in nature that invokes all ease.

A place that when you imagine you're in it just feel good.

At peace.

Let this peace be a part of your practice.

The full knowing that other stuff comes and goes.

Allowing breath.

Allowing peace.

A full invitation.

As you bring your attention to your mouth.

To all your senses.

Beginning with taste.

Just notice your tongue,

Your cheeks,

Your teeth,

Lips.

Notice the sounds as you move from your mouth to your ears.

Deep into the canals of your ears.

The outer ears.

Bringing all your attention into your nose.

Smell.

Deep in the sinuses.

Softening the face.

Bringing your attention to your eyes.

Eyelids.

Eyeballs.

Eye sockets.

Just letting the eyes rest.

Allowing yourself to see with the eyes closed.

Shade and light colors.

Allowing yourself to see how amazing life is and how messed up it is and how both are true.

Connecting with the third eye and how it feels fuzzy sometimes and at moments it also has clarity.

Bringing your attention to the crown of the head.

To your brain.

Letting it rest a little.

Allowing it to take a break from all that doing.

Letting the whole face soften.

Bringing your attention to your neck.

Portal between the head and the body.

Work super hard holding up our big heads.

Just letting yourself connect with your throat with expression.

Resting.

Down into your shoulders and your arms.

Just letting the weight of the world release.

Bringing attention down into your hands.

Busy hands.

Resting.

Fingers and hands.

Arms and shoulders.

Letting them relax as you bring your attention down into your chest.

Your heart.

Front and back.

Pain and love.

Acknowledging both.

Bringing your attention down through the torso.

All those internal organs working on your body.
