Hello my friends,
To begin this meditation I invite you to close your eyes.
Notice that with this simple act of closing your eyes,
Your mind naturally gets quieter.
And then I invite you to take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in.
Hold it there for just a moment and feel your body becoming ever more relaxed as you exhale.
Observe that with this simplest of acts,
Simply closing your eyes and taking a few deep breaths,
That your mind quiets down,
Your body becomes more relaxed,
Even your heart rate begins to slow.
I invite you to get comfortable.
Be still.
And when I say be still,
I don't mean to focus all your attention on not moving a muscle,
Or on being hyper-focused on not having any distracting thoughts.
What I mean is to simply be.
Be comfortable,
Be relaxed.
And if you have any distracting thoughts,
As we all do,
Simply see the thoughts entering your mind,
Drifting through and passing through,
As a cloud drifts through the summer sky.
Adopt an attitude of gratitude and non-judgment,
Especially toward yourself.
And embrace a heart and mindset of peace and loving-kindness.
Visualize a white light in the sky,
Slowly descending toward you.
Imagine this light as the purest and most loving energy that you can ever experience.
Notice the feeling of warm love and light increasing in you as it ever so slowly gets closer.
And then imagine this pure white light pausing just above your head.
Picture it hovering there and feel its warm love and light reverberating on your skin.
Feel the warmth on your face.
Feel the warmth,
The love and light on your face and reverberating on your skin as this pure white light hovers just above your head.
As the white light envelops your body,
Feel it washing away any negative thoughts,
Emotions or energies that you might be carrying.
Allow yourself to be fully present in the moment,
Letting go of any worries or concerns.
Let's take a moment to just allow the light to wash away anything that lingers.
Now,
Focus on your heart center and imagine a beautiful golden light emanating from it.
This light represents your own universal spark of light and love,
The divine spark that is within you.
Feel that divine spark emanating through you and from your heart center.
Feel that divine spark emanating from your heart center and slowly beginning to flow through you.
Feel this golden light expanding and radiating throughout your body,
Filling you with love,
Joy and peace.
Allow it to connect you with your higher self,
The source of all wisdom and knowledge,
The source of all light and love,
The source of all peace and joy.
As your connection to your higher self deepens,
Allow it also to connect you to others.
As you listen to my voice,
Feel yourself becoming more connected to me,
As I feel myself becoming more connected to you.
As your golden light expands,
Imagine yourself becoming more connected to others who are meditating with us.
Right now,
We're beyond the confines of space and time.
As you continue to focus on the light within you,
You continue to go deeper inward and simultaneously expand outward.
Imagine this light expanding to those around you,
Those close to you.
Imagine this light and this connection expanding to the city and the cities around you,
To the states and provinces around you,
To the countries and continents around you.
Feel this connection deepen and expand until you feel connected to the whole Earth,
And then to the Universe,
The whole Universe.
Deep inside of me is where I find you.
Deep inside of the self is where we find the other.
Deep inside the higher self is where we find all things.
Let us sit here for a moment and just feel that connection to self,
To each other,
To everything.
Allow the connection to deepen.
Let the orb of light and love guide you towards a deeper understanding of your purpose,
Your path and your potential.
And then,
Let's spend a few more minutes in this state of deep connection and awareness.
Whenever you're ready,
Slowly and gently bring your attention back to your physical body and your surroundings.
Take a few deep breaths and thank the Universe for this experience.
And then slowly,
Gently and easily flutter your eyes open,
Making sure not to snap them open too quickly or abruptly.
And then I'd invite you to take a moment to reflect on this meditation.
You may want to journal your thoughts and insights,
Or simply sit in silence for a few more minutes,
Savoring the peace and love that you have accessed.
