Hello my friends,
To get into the spirit of meditation,
I invite you to take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in,
Close your eyes and relax your body,
And then slowly let that breath out.
Notice that with that simple act of closing your eyes,
Your mind naturally gets quieter,
And by simply taking a deep breath,
Your body organically becomes more relaxed.
So I invite you to continue to take a few more deep breaths in and out,
And be still.
And to say be still,
I simply mean to allow your body to be comfortable and relaxed,
To allow your mind to continue to quiet,
And in this stillness I invite you to adopt an attitude of gratitude and non-judgment,
Especially toward yourself.
Meditation is not about what we are or are not getting accomplished,
It is a time to simply be.
So I invite you to let go of any self-criticism or judgment,
And just adopt that attitude of gratitude,
And in this space of stillness,
Gratitude and non-judgment,
I welcome you to embrace a heart and mindset of peace and loving-kindness.
Imagine a place that evokes peace for you,
The most peaceful place you can imagine,
Your peaceful place.
It can be a place you've been to,
A place in your memories,
Perhaps somewhere you frequented as a child.
Perhaps it's somewhere you've never been to,
Somewhere you'd like to go,
Maybe it's even a fictional place.
My only ask is that it's a place that evokes peace for you,
And that it's a place you can comfortably walk barefoot,
Wherever this place is for you.
Try to really imagine it,
What's it like there?
Take as much time as you want or need to choose your place and to really imagine it,
And then imagine you are there right now.
What can you see,
What can you touch,
What can you hear,
What can you smell,
What can you taste?
Let the focus on these senses really bring you there.
Let's take a moment to simply be here,
In your peaceful place.
Now,
I'd like you to imagine you can feel your bare feet on the ground in this place.
What is under your feet,
What can you feel?
Perhaps it's grass,
Maybe it's sand,
Or soil,
Or moss.
Whatever it is,
Feel,
Notice the sensation under your feet,
Between your toes,
Yeah this connection between your bare feet and the ground,
It's grounding you to this peaceful place,
Connecting you to your peaceful place,
Yeah I invite you to simply take another moment to be grounded,
Connected to this place,
Your peaceful place.
And then notice as you become more grounded and more connected to this place,
You feel yourself becoming one with this place,
Feel yourself becoming one with peace.
Say these words with me,
I am at peace,
I am at peace,
I am peace,
I am peace.
And then imagine yourself going for a calming grounding walk,
Barefoot in your peaceful place,
Noticing the connection to peace and to the earth with each step,
Noticing yourself becoming more grounded to peace and to the earth with each step.
Each time your foot touches the ground,
You are reconnected,
You are at one with peace,
You are at one with the earth,
You are at one with this space.
And then let's take one more moment to simply be here,
In this peaceful place.
And then as we slowly come out of the meditation,
I invite you to reacquaint yourself with your natural surroundings,
And whenever you're ready,
Feel free to give your body a light gentle stretch.
Your body knows what your body needs,
So yeah just give your body whatever your body needs.
And then slowly flutter your eyes open,
Being careful not to snap them open too quickly as that can be jarring,
And gently,
Easily,
Calmly come out of the meditation taking as much time as you want or need.
Thank you so much for sharing in this sacred space with me today my friends.
May grace and peace,
Light and love,
Be with you.
