Sound Bath Sessions 271: Saravi Tsz
I recorded two sessions Saravi in the first year of the SBS project. I promised that I would record him again but we could not pick a date that we both could meet, until now. I recently moved to the Wu Kai Sha area of Hong Kong and found many quiet places along the shoreline. Saravi was the first person that recorded here. I picked a somewhat secluded spot on Wu Kai Sha beach and we set up under a tree. What happened was nothing short of amazing. Saravi played a 5-minute session and at that moment the wake of a distant passing boat had reached the shore and created very turbulent waves for a few minutes. I signaled to continue playing with a passing airplane and drone buzzing in the distance. I told him to continue once again and during this last session a passing boat sounded like the low drone of a gong or a large metal bowl. It fit into the session perfectly. This was my final recording for 2025. What a perfect way to end the year.
