Sound Bath Sessions 122: Martina Lee
Martina would be the last recording before my summer hiatus. It was very humid, wet day and I missed my bus stop so I was pretty much soaked by the time I got to her place. After a dry towel and a glass of water, I saw what was in store for me as she began tuning a monochord. The monochord is called Waverider by the maker, a German who sometimes lives in Hong Kong. The monochord was beautiful as each strum played through the high and low notes of the instrument creating a 'conversation' with itself. Sometimes the higher strings would speak. Sometimes the lower would answer. The dialog was enough to make shut my body down for a second and almost make me fall off of my chair. I think I should sit on the floor from now on.
