All right,
So coming into our space,
Friends,
We're just going to do a little meditation,
Mindfulness of breath practice.
There isn't any right or wrong way to do this.
So I really just want to encourage you to come into your breath and come into your space.
And that's what we're doing.
It's just an acceptance of our breath.
And as you come into your space,
Just recognize where your breath is showing up for you.
Where is that?
Is it in your nostrils?
Is it in your mouth?
Is it on your lips?
As you continue breathing,
Just recognize where your breath is.
Now bringing awareness to where it's showing up elsewhere in your body.
Are you noticing your breath in your chest?
Is it down in your belly?
Is it both places?
You don't need to change anything.
Just notice and bring awareness to your breath.
As thoughts come up,
You don't need to do anything with them either.
Just allow them to be present or pass and come back to your breath.
Where is that showing up for you today?
As we begin this journey together,
I encourage you to just check in with yourself occasionally here and there and just ask yourself,
Where's my breath right now?
The beginning of your meditation practice can literally be that simple.
Find a place that works.
Find a space that feels good.
Get yourself comfortable and come to a place of curiosity and acceptance.
The amazing thing is everyone can do this.
As long as you're breathing,
You can do a mindfulness of breath meditation.
And you'll learn the more you check in with yourself,
The more you begin to slow down and the easier it becomes to be present with your thoughts,
With the emotions that come up and you begin to develop a desire to come back,
To come back to this place,
To come back to your breath,
To come back to meditation.
Just continue breathing and give a couple minutes of just quiet of you and your breath.
And then when I come back,
I'll bring us back out of this meditation.
Enjoy your breath,
Friends,
Bringing a gentle awareness to where is your breath showing up for you today.
Allow yourself some gratitude for showing up,
Coming into acceptance and staying in curiosity.
Thank you for being here together,
Friends.
And we will join again in continued breath work and meditation.
