Week 11 of our 13-week exploration in breathwork and meditation - Wellness Wednesday's Mid-day Meditation sponsored by The Phoenix Group. Spending a moment visualizing "your special place" that you go to when you arrive in personal meditation - experiencing the senses and allowing space to say something to yourself at that moment, in that space. Being reminded that you can always return to this place anytime you like through using your breath connection to the memory.

Welcome,

Welcome to this meditation journey and into our meditation today,

Which will be a journey into your place,

Into this beautiful space that we have,

That we all have that we go to,

We travel to consciously or unconsciously when we meditate.

So I just want to invite you to go to that space today.

Rumi speaks of this place,

A field that we go to where we meet.

It's a beautiful poem and that particular part always just touches my heart.

It's a place of non-judgment,

A place of ultimate acceptance,

A place of freedom and grace.

So I invite you to bring those places into your place and coming into your breath,

Allow yourself to think about where that is for you.

It shows up for every person differently.

Usually it's a childhood memory that we're very fond of.

Could be a body of water or a forest.

Could be a location,

A specific location,

A residence,

A home,

An embrace of somebody.

However that shows up for you,

Allow yourself to be present to that.

As you reacquaint yourself with your space and your place,

Begin to think about what you hear.

What are the sounds that are around you?

What do you see?

What images come to mind?

What sweet memories are at play here?

On the next inhale,

I invite you to imagine what you smell.

There's something in particular that is reminiscent of this wonderful place.

As you allow your memories to take you to that special place,

Continue breathing and notice how you settle in.

You settle into your body.

You settle down and you're able to just be.

Staying in this beautiful space,

You might recognize yourself.

You might be embodied as self.

Either way is perfect for this meditation.

Wherever you are,

I encourage you to allow each breath to take you deeper into that sensory moment.

It's amazing when we give our mind the freedom,

The freedom to be in the memory,

The freedom to be in the moment,

The freedom to be free.

It's the beauty and the power of meditation.

At any time,

Being able to come back to this amazing,

Beautiful space that you've created in the space between your heart and your mind,

Is this beautiful place that you can come back to.

You can travel there by using the vehicle of your breath.

As we spend a few more breaths in this wonderful space,

If there's anything that you'd like to share with yourself or anything that you'd like to do while you're here,

You have the opportunity to do that.

This is a beautiful space to bring in some additional gratitude.

Although our time here is short,

You can always come back.

All that is required is a moment of peace,

The intent to come back to this place,

And a connection to your breath.

Considering the way that we came into this space,

Perhaps it's using the key that Rumi gave us,

The place beyond all happenings is the field where we meet.

I hope to meet you again here,

Friend.

As you bring a little bit of awareness back to your current space and this current place,

Maybe you bring some movement into your legs or your arms.

Take a moment,

Bring your hands to your heart,

Give yourself some additional gratitude for that connection,

That memory,

That space that you have.

Thank you for being part of this journey.

Thank you for allowing me to journey with you,

Going to your space and my place.

Until we meet again,

Friends,

Be well.
