So welcome friends.
We are going to be doing a Hawaiian forgiveness meditation called Ho'oponopono.
I do want to read something out of a beautiful book by Dr.
Matt James,
And that's who brought me into this practice and taught me this beautiful healing practice.
So from his book called Ho'oponopono,
He talks about what that means and how to kind of break down this beautiful Hawaiian word.
On page 11,
Pono,
Which there really is not a good English translation for it,
Means to feel right with the person,
With yourself,
And even with the world.
It doesn't mean right as in I'm right and you're wrong.
Rather,
It's in the sense that you are connected to and in harmony with nature,
Your community,
Your friends,
Your family,
And yourself.
You feel at peace,
Comfortable in your own skin.
You feel acceptance and appreciation for everything and everyone.
You feel balanced and a profound sense that all is well.
When you feel pono,
You are connected to your heart and the decisions and actions are driven by integrity and an awareness of what is good for the whole.
Pono is a profound feeling of respect for all with it and a deep sense of self-respect as well.
So pono is not just a characteristic that you have or don't have.
Rather,
It's an active process of staying aware of who you are being in the world.
So to be pono and ho'oponopono means to be right with self and others.
Not righteous,
But a rightness between oneself and others.
So when you take the double word,
You increase its meaning.
So it's not tolerating others,
But being in total harmony with them.
So we are going to practice the Hawaiian forgiveness meditation called ho'oponopono to become right and congruent with self and others.
So we'll begin,
As we learned a couple weeks ago,
Just the very simple ha breath,
Which is a deep inhalation through the nose and an audible exhale making the ha sound.
So we'll breathe four times and we'll begin and end this practice in the same way.
So coming into your space,
Coming into your place,
Breathing in through the nose,
Exhale audible ha three more times.
Ha.
Ha.
Ha.
Ha.
Coming into your space,
Coming into this place,
Let's begin our meditation.
I'd like you to imagine if it's comfortable for you either floating above yourself or up and behind,
Whatever feels good.
We're going to create a stage.
So as you continue breathing,
Come into this place where you can create your stage.
However this shows up for you is perfect.
We're going to use this place to bring people out onto it for our forgiveness process.
Remembering that everything we're doing is in your mind.
If at any moment it's uncomfortable or it becomes too much,
Just open your eyes,
Come back to your place,
Bring some awareness back to yourself.
It can be as easy as just breathing back and maybe possibly doing some tapping to bring yourself back to awareness.
So as we create this space,
We create this stage,
We're going to bring people up in sections and create a dialogue of forgiveness.
We'll simply say,
I forgive you,
Please forgive me too.
Recognizing that forgiveness is a two-way process and it's more of an energy exchange,
Not really an act.
So we'll come into this energy exchange by saying that throughout the process and coming back to the stage.
As you continue breathing,
Imagine an infinite source of white healing light energy coming up from above.
As you breathe in,
Imagine this infinite source of love healing energy filling you up.
It has the power and the potential to heal and we're going to allow it to do that through this practice.
Continuing to breathe into that healing light energy,
Allow this source to fill you all the way up,
Filling you from your toes up into your legs,
Continuing to fill you from the top through the bottom up through your core,
Your hips,
Up your spine.
As you continue breathing in this infinite healing light energy source,
Allow it to come into your heart center and down through your arms.
And once we feel completely whole,
Breathing in and through,
We're going to begin by inviting your parents up onto the stage.
Bring up your parents or anyone that acted like parents to you growing up and allow them to come up onto the stage,
Remembering that this process is taking place in your mind.
And we'll begin this two-way forgiveness exchange saying to each of them,
I forgive you,
Please forgive me too.
And allow this infinite love healing energy to flow to and through you,
Completely filling them up as you become pono with each other.
I forgive you,
Please forgive me too.
Allowing that infinite source of love healing energy to flow out through your heart and to them,
Filling them completely up,
Remembering that forgiveness is a process.
I forgive you,
Please forgive me too.
If there's anything else that you need to say to them,
Go ahead and do that now.
I forgive you,
Please forgive me too.
And we're going to thank them for being with you and ask them to move along to the side of the stage.
And we're going to invite up the next group of people out and onto the stage.
And we'll repeat the same process with the next group,
Continuing to breathe in that infinite source of light healing energy.
Next,
We're going to bring up grandparents or anyone that acted as grandparents.
And if you have children or any children that you feel like you've raised,
Bring them up onto stage as well.
And allow that infinite source of love healing energy to flow down to you and through you,
As we begin the process of becoming pono with them as well.
Remember,
There may not be anything that needs forgiveness.
It's just a process.
So we'll continue by saying,
I forgive you,
Please forgive me too.
And allow that infinite source of healing love energy to flow down and through your heart and to each of them.
I forgive you,
Please forgive me too.
Continuing to breathe,
Becoming pono.
I forgive you,
Please forgive me too.
And we're going to ask this group to go off to one side of the stage,
As we prepare to bring up the next group of individuals to become pono with.
The next group are aunts and uncles,
Brothers and sisters,
And best friends.
So ask aunts,
Uncles,
Brothers and sisters,
And any best friends to come up onto stage.
Continuing to breathe,
Allowing that infinite source of love healing energy to flow through and to and through you,
As we begin the forgiveness process.
Say to each of them,
I forgive you,
Please forgive me too.
And allow that infinite love healing energy to flow to each of them,
Filling them up completely,
As you become pono with each of these people in this group.
I forgive you,
Please forgive me too.
Remembering that forgiveness is a two-way process,
Allowing the infinite love healing energy to flow to and through you,
As it completely fills them up.
I forgive you,
Please forgive me too.
We'll finish up with this group of people and ask them to move alongside,
To the side of the stage,
As we bring up the next group,
Which represents past relationships,
Boyfriends,
Girlfriends,
And spouses.
Coming up onto stage,
As we begin to become pono with this group.
I forgive you,
Please forgive me too.
Allowing that healing energy to flow to and through you.
I forgive you,
Please forgive me too.
Becoming completely pono.
I forgive you,
Please forgive me too.
We wrap up and finish up with this group,
Asking them to step to the side of the stage.
We'll bring up the next group,
Which represents friends,
Co-workers,
And any other family members.
So now we're going to bring up friends,
Co-workers,
And any other family members up onto the stage and begin the forgiveness process with them.
Allowing the infinite source of love healing energy to flow to and through you,
We'll begin the forgiveness process with these individuals.
I forgive you,
Please forgive me too.
Remembering that forgiveness is a two-way process as we become pono.
I forgive you,
Please forgive me too.
Allowing the infinite healing energy to flow to and through you.
I forgive you,
Please forgive me too.
We'll finish up with this group of people and ask them to move to the side of the stage.
Now we're going to allow the subconscious to bring up anyone that I haven't mentioned yet.
Any random connections,
Any people that show up whether you recognize them or not.
This is the healing power of the brain to bring in anybody else that you have an akha connection with right now.
Bring up this group of people together and begin to become pono with them.
Say to the collective,
I forgive you,
Please forgive me too.
Allowing the infinite source of love healing energy to flow to and through you,
Filling them up,
Becoming completely pono with this group of anybody I haven't yet mentioned,
Those random akha connections.
I forgive you,
Please forgive me too.
Continuing to allow that infinite source of healing energy to flow to and through you.
I forgive you,
Please forgive me too.
We're going to finish up the whole pono pono process,
Allowing everybody to come back onto the stage,
Filter through as they will.
We're going to gather up the akha connections.
Akha connections is the energy that's shared between you.
We're going to imagine each of these,
There's a connection between you gathering those.
We're going to thank everyone for being here.
Gathering up those akha connections,
We're going to imagine a beautiful healing white energy light coming down and cutting the cords slowly,
Gently,
And lovingly.
Cutting the akha connections all the way through.
When you feel like the last one is cut,
Thank everyone for being there and allow the stage to slowly disappear and everyone to disappear along with it.
Continuing to breathe,
Allowing yourself to be in the state of pono.
Come back to our space and back to our place by doing this four ha breaths.
Breathing in deeply through the nose,
Exhale through the mouth,
Audible ha.
Inhale through the nose,
Ha.
One more time,
Ha.
Coming back to your space and to your place.
Thank you for becoming pono.
