Well done on making time to practice meditation today.
The outside world can feel chaotic,
Uncertain and stressful.
You've recognized this and have felt called to come back home to yourself and retreat from all the external things going on around you.
So for these next few minutes together,
Really make a conscious effort to block out everything that might be happening in your life and fully tune into the sound of my voice.
Before we begin,
You might like to shift around in your seat or bed to get really comfortable.
Position your body in a way that feels supportive and doesn't place any strain on the muscles or joints.
Give the hips a wiggle,
Roll out the wrists or shake the head side to side to release any leftover tension.
You have arrived.
Starting to slow down and lengthen the breath.
Allow the breath to flow easily.
The deeper you breathe,
The more relaxed you'll feel.
As you exhale,
Imagine all the stagnant pent-up energy is releasing out from your hands and feet.
If you haven't already,
Close down your eyes.
Now starting to visualize your happy place.
The place that makes you feel most calm and grounded.
Where is that place for you?
What do you see around you?
What are you doing there?
How does it feel to be there right now?
What is it about this place that makes you feel calm or happy?
Let's be here for a while,
Just visualizing ourselves in this place where we feel safe and truly ourselves.
Go exploring,
Be curious.
In this visualization,
Only allow yourself to have a positive experience where everything is going right.
Starting to wrap up whatever you are doing in your happy place.
Starting to visualize yourself walking away,
Making the journey back into the present moment wherever you currently are.
Before opening the eyes,
Notice how you're feeling.
Are you experiencing any sensations in the body?
What's your energy like?
Do you feel any different to how you felt at the beginning?
Remember that you can come back to your happy place at any time.
Now coming back into the room,
Noticing any sounds around you,
Noticing the body in the space.
When you feel ready,
Opening the eyes and coming back to your day.
