Hello and welcome to this meditation on embodying and emanating love.
You've chosen this meditation because at this point in time the message of love resonates with you.
Now is it because you're feeling deeply connected to someone,
A cause or mission or perhaps to everything?
Or is it because you feel like love has somehow fallen away from your life and you feel called to bring it back to the forefront?
Whatever the reason is for you,
Know that this is exactly where you need to be.
We start our practice by coming into a comfortable seat or laying down if you'd like a more restful experience.
Take your time in carefully,
Lovingly positioning your body in a way that feels authentic and nurturing for you.
There's no right or wrong way to place your body in this meditation as long as you're honoring exactly what you need.
It's time to let go of the day that has been or the day that's ahead of you.
There's no need to be anywhere but here,
Everything else can wait.
Now practice lengthening your breath,
Allowing the sweetness of your breath to bring a sense of calm and peace into your body,
Your nervous system.
Practice deep breathing in your own time for several breaths,
Bringing your awareness to your heart space,
The center of your chest,
Right over the sternum.
Notice how this place gently rises and falls with the breath.
And what can you feel in your heart space?
If you find it difficult to connect to your heart,
You might like to place a hand over your chest so that you can draw awareness to the space.
Keep your hand there for as long as it feels right.
Breathe deeper into the heart.
The heart is the place of love,
The place of our true being,
The place from which our soul guides us.
It knows what is truly right for us and by tapping into its energy,
We're able to see things a little more clearly.
Our true nature is love,
Our true nature is love.
Now,
While feeling into your heart space,
Start to reflect on something that you love.
Something that you love far more deeply than yourself.
Something that you love so much that it is beyond words.
What is that thing for you?
Who are you when you share your love for this thing?
What does this love feel like for you?
How does this love change your life for the better?
Know that this love is exactly who you are meant to be.
You can tap into this love at any time and feel it for anyone and anything.
We're all connected by this same feeling,
It's what unites us.
So holding onto this feeling throughout a meditation,
As you feel this all-encompassing,
All-knowing love,
Silently repeat the mantra,
I am loving awareness,
I am loving awareness,
I am loving awareness,
When your thoughts start to call you away,
And they will,
Silently come back to your mantra,
I am loving awareness,
Keep repeating your mantra until you hear the sound of the bell,
I am loving awareness,
I am loving awareness,
This time say it out loud to yourself,
I am loving awareness,
We are all loving awareness,
The beauty of this life lies in the experience and embodiment of love,
It's what heals us,
Unites us and brings us home to ourself,
Starting to bring your awareness back to your breath,
Taking a deep loving breath in all the way down into your belly,
And then let it sigh out of the mouth,
Once more in through the nose,
Really feel this one,
And then releasing it along with everything that doesn't serve your loving heart anymore,
Begin to notice how the body feels and bring some gentle movement back into it,
Perhaps shaking the head side to side,
Wiggling the fingers and toes,
When you feel ready blinking the eyes open,
Taking in all that's around you,
Placing your left palm over your heart and your right hand over the top of the left,
Allowing the head to bow down as a way of honouring your true nature which is love,
