Welcome to this meditation to help you end the day with inner peace.

I'm recording this from my home office in Switzerland.
This is your time to gently quiet the mind,
Calm the heart,
And find a deep sense of stillness within.
Let's create space for softness,
Allowing your mind and soul to rest and prepare for peaceful sleep.
So go ahead and find a comfortable position,
Either sitting or lying down,
With your hands resting gently in your lap or at your sides.
If you haven't already and if it feels safe,
Gently close your eyes.
Start with a deep breath in through your nose,
Filling your lungs completely.
Hold it for a moment.
And now exhale slowly through your mouth,
Releasing the tensions of the day.
Let's do this again.
Take another deep breath in.
And this time imagine you're breathing in calm and peace.
Hold it briefly.
And as you exhale,
Let go of any lingering worries or racing thoughts.
And just let your breath settle into its own,
Natural,
Soothing rhythm now.
Now bring your attention to your body.
Notice how your body feels after this day's journey.
Let's start with your forehead.
Relax your brow.
The space around your eyes.
And then unclench your jaw.
Let your shoulders drop.
And feel the heaviness of your arms and legs.
And let them release into the surface beneath you.
Breathe into your belly.
And feel it rise and fall.
With a gentle ease,
Soften your belly,
Soften your hips,
Soften your legs,
Your knees,
And your feet.
And with each exhale,
Feel yourself sinking deeper and deeper into comfort.
Now imagine a peaceful scene that resonates with you.
It could be a quiet beach at sunset.
A forest clearing in soft light.
Or even a warm corner in your cozy home.
Visualize yourself resting,
Surrounded by a gentle,
Loving stillness that asks absolutely nothing of you.
This is your sanctuary.
A place where you can simply be.
In this calming space,
Start to sense the presence of a soft,
Glowing light within your heart.
Each breath you take nurtures this light,
Allowing it to grow brighter and steadier.
This light represents your inner peace,
Always present.
Just waiting for your attention.
As you breathe,
Notice how this inner peace feels.
Is it a sense of spaciousness?
A quiet calm?
Or a gentle warmth?
Allow that feeling to expand,
Filling your chest,
Your limbs,
Your entire being.
Feel it soothing any rough edges of your day,
Smoothing out worries or concerns.
And just leaving you settled and safe.
Take a deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
Silently repeat the following affirmations after me.
I am at peace within myself.
I allow my mind and body to rest.
I trust in the safety and quiet of this moment.
I carry this peace with me into the night.
Let these words sink in,
Becoming part of your inner landscape.
They are here to remind you that inner peace is not a luxury.
It's your natural state.
That gentle light always waiting for your attention.
And now see yourself gently drifting off to sleep.
A sense of peace cradling you into a good night's rest.
Just enjoy this moment of stillness.
And feel the calm you've nurtured.
Holding you lovingly as you prepare for rest.
Maybe you just want to leave your eyes closed.
But otherwise you can open them again now.
And just carry this sense of inner peace with you.
