Begin by finding a comfortable position where your body can settle and relax.
Gently close your eyes and place your awareness on your breath.
When you're ready,
Take a slow breath in through the nose and exhale through the mouth.
Again,
Slow breath in,
Open mouth exhale.
Now this time,
Breathe in for a count of 1,
2,
3,
4,
Exhale 6,
5,
4,
3,
2,
1.
Again,
Inhale 1,
2,
3,
4,
Exhale 6,
5,
4,
3,
2,
1.
Again,
Last time,
Inhale 1,
2,
3,
4,
Exhale 6,
5,
4,
3,
2,
1.
Again,
Allow your breath to return to its natural cadence and feel your body starting to soften.
Softening your jaw,
The space around your eyes,
And behind your eyes.
You might imagine that both hemispheres of the brain could relax and unwind.
Relaxing tension from both hemispheres of the brain,
Like a fist that's unclenching and softening open.
Ears are relaxed,
Effortlessly receiving sound.
Shoulders are melting away from your ears.
Chest is open,
Making space for your heart to expand with each breath.
Belly is relaxed and at ease.
Pelvic floor is soft and heavy.
Now,
Imagine a grounding cord extending down from the base of your spine,
Dropping deep into the earth and connecting to the core.
Feel this steady connection from the base of your spine to the core of the earth.
Stable,
Supportive,
Comforting.
Your whole body safely held by the earth beneath you.
With each exhale,
Feel yourself releasing every ounce of tension that you've been holding on to.
Every care,
Every worry,
Every concern.
As you breathe,
Allow all of that stress to drain down through your grounding cord,
To be gently transmuted by the earth.
Releasing tension downward,
Effortlessly letting go of any energy that doesn't serve you,
And anything that doesn't belong to you.
Your nervous system settling,
All of your energy becoming grounded and resetting.
Coming back to yourself,
Returning to your inner steadiness that's always here beneath the surface.
And when you're ready,
Gently begin returning awareness to your body,
To your space,
And slowly,
In your own time,
Open your eyes.
From my heart to yours.
Namaste.
