This is Sarah Eyler with Deep Rest Yoga.

Welcome to this practice.

Finding your position of rest now,

Lying on your back or your side,

Making sure that you feel comfortable and fully supported,

Closing down and softening both eyes,

Gently parting the teeth and softening both sides of your jaw.

Allow the full weight of your body to release down into the surface beneath you and gently coming to rest in this present moment,

Beginning to rotate your consciousness down through your body.

As I mention a body part,

Tune in to any sensations you feel there,

Starting at the space right between your eyebrows,

Lingering here and allowing any and all sensations to arise.

Awareness flowing now to the right eyebrow,

The left eyebrow,

Flowing over the right eyelid,

The entire globe of the right eye,

The eye socket cradling the right eye,

And then sensing the entire right eye and eye socket all at once.

Moving your awareness to the left eyelid,

The entire globe of the left eye,

And the eye socket cradling the left eye,

And then sensing the entire left eye and eye socket together,

Feeling in to the right ear,

The right ear lobe,

And the entire length of the right ear canal.

Attention flowing into the very center of the right ear,

Then sensing the entire right ear all at once as it scans and listens for sounds.

Attention flowing to the left ear,

The left ear lobe,

The entire length of the left ear canal,

Into the center of the inner ear,

And then the entire left ear all at once,

Open and receptive.

Awareness moving down the nose,

Feeling the air flowing in and out,

Sensing the softness of the roof of your mouth,

The shape of your tongue,

The entire mouth all at once.

Attention flowing down the chin,

Down the throat,

Into the middle of your chest,

And then all your attention flowing over to the right shoulder,

Trickling down the upper arm,

Past the elbow,

And flowing into the right wrist,

The right thumb,

Second finger,

Third finger,

Fourth finger,

And fifth finger,

And then the tips of all the fingers in the right hand.

Attention flowing back to the center of the chest,

Moving over to the left shoulder,

Flowing down the left upper arm,

Past the elbow,

Into the left wrist,

Moving into the left thumb,

Second finger,

Third finger,

Fourth finger,

And fifth finger,

And then the tips of all the fingers in the left hand.

Back again to the center of the chest.

Flowing your awareness down through your navel,

Into your low belly,

And then flowing over into the right hip,

Down the right thigh,

Past the right knee,

Into the right shin,

Into the right foot,

And all five toes,

Sensing any tingling or pulsing here.

Back to the low belly and then over into the left hip,

Flowing down the left thigh,

Past the left knee,

The left shin,

And into the left foot,

And all the toes on the left foot,

Sensing any flowing energy here,

Becoming aware of your whole body from head to toe,

Present and sensing,

And experiencing the entirety of your body,

Noticing the back of your body,

Noticing the front,

Feeling into the outer edges of your body,

And then sensing inside,

A sense of peace and calm washing over your entire body,

Clearing away any worries or stress,

Allowing them to effortlessly drift away,

Resting in this feeling of peace,

And then feel yourself starting to return back to this present moment,

Just noticing how you feel,

Noticing if anything has shifted in your body or in your mind,

Taking any movement or stretch that your body is calling for.

One final deep breath in through the nose,

And exhaling out of the mouth,

When you decide to come up,

Just move slowly and mindfully,

Honoring yourself and the effort you made to show up today for your practice.

The light in me honors the light in you.

Have a wonderful rest of your day.
