Hello,
This is Sarah-Ann Ritchie,
Here to share a meditation with you today on choice.
It's morning here where I am,
The sun is shining brightly,
And perhaps I will head out later for a walk in the sunshine,
Choosing to open and expand my lungs,
Choosing to bring fresh energy into this moment.
Take a nice long,
Slow deep breath in with me.
And as you exhale relaxing,
Releasing all that is not serving you in this moment.
Let's take another nice long,
Slow deep breath like that.
And just choosing in this moment to let go.
Notice your thoughts begin to soften.
Notice your body begins to relax and release,
Allowing yourself this time just for yourself.
Continuing to follow your breath as you allow your body to begin to rest,
Allowing yourself to settle into your place of comfort.
So taking this moment to get a little more comfortable.
Perhaps wiggling a little bit of room into your neck,
Your shoulders,
Your hips,
Your knees.
Really get yourself comfortable so that you could stay here for a little while with me.
And while it's morning here,
It may be afternoon or evening for you,
Knowing that whatever time of day,
You can make this time just for you.
Continuing to watch and witness and observe your breath,
Allowing yourself to notice the gentle expansion and contraction of your belly,
Your ribs,
Your chest.
We may feel at times that life is not offering us many choices,
That in fact we are restricted by the environment around us.
But know this in any and every moment we have choice.
The great teacher Louise Hay said,
The only thing you ever have any control of is your current thought.
So let's expand our thinking today.
Let's expand the energy that exists around choice today.
When we allow ourselves to invite in the freedom of choice,
We actually break down the walls and barriers to our heart.
We allow ourselves expansion.
Taking another nice long,
Slow,
Deep breath in and releasing.
And continuing to take another nice long,
Slow,
Deep breath in.
As you exhale,
Exhaling fully and completely.
Now allowing yourself to invite choice into this moment.
Knowing that in the face of uncertainty,
In the face of constrictions in your outside environment or constrictions in your thoughts.
Knowing that in this moment you can choose to open and relax.
And in doing so you are breaking down the walls and barriers that close your heart.
You are breaking down the walls and barriers that hold you back from experiencing freedom in this moment.
You always have choice to take you from where you are to where you want to be.
Breathing in with me now as you relax your body.
Breathing in this moment.
I choose to open and relax.
In this moment,
I choose to open and relax.
In this moment,
I choose to open and relax.
This concept was introduced by Michael Singer in The Untethered Soul.
And it is a beautiful and expansive thought pattern that leads us to the freedom of choice in this moment.
I choose to open and relax.
Let's do this together again.
Breathing in.
In this moment,
I choose to open and relax.
Allowing yourself to follow your breath as it comes in and as it goes out.
In this moment,
I choose to open and relax.
And now that your body has been open for a while,
It has settled into your choice in this moment.
Your choice to open and relax.
Letting down the walls and barriers.
Feeling the softness in your muscles.
Noticing the ease in your chest,
In your abdomen,
In your hips.
Allowing yourself to feel the expansiveness of your being.
The invitation to open and relax even further still.
Today,
Using the mantra Moksha,
Moksha,
Moksha,
Which comes from Sanskrit and could be translated as I am emotionally free.
Moksha.
So allowing yourself to just settle into a gentle,
Easy repetition of Moksha.
Moksha.
Moksha.
Allowing that repetition to just rise up from within.
Almost as if you are listening to that Moksha.
To that energy of emotional freedom.
And if you have thoughts while you're meditating,
Good for you,
That's completely normal.
When you notice that you have drifted away,
Simply effortlessly allow yourself to drift back to Moksha.
Moksha.
I'll watch the time.
And when you hear the sound of my voice,
Allow yourself to just sit gently in the stillness and the silence.
Moksha.

You can stop repeating the mantra and allow yourself to just sit gently.
Allow yourself in this moment to absorb and resonate with the energy of Moksha,
Of your emotional freedom.
And let's seal in the energy of this choice that we have made today,
This choice for freedom,
This choice to open and relax our hearts.
So let's seal in the energy of this beautiful meditation today where we invited in choice,
Where we enabled ourselves to choose to open and relax,
Inviting in greater freedom in this moment and allowing ourselves the opportunity to know that we always have choice.
Let's chant Aum one time together,
The hymn of the universe,
Taking in a nice long,
Slow,
Deep breath in and then we'll chant Aum.
