Good morning,
This is Sarah-Ann Ritchie coming to you from Orangeville,
Ontario,
Canada.
And so happy to share this meditation with you.
Love in all of its forms is what touches our lives with magic.
Love of love,
Romantic love,
Love of our children,
Our parents,
Compassion and empathy.
These are the threads that connect us.
These are the threads of light that move us from our sense of individuality,
From me to we.
Love is what binds us in relationship to everything in this world and to that something bigger than us,
To the universe.
Love is what allows the energy of expansion,
Of blossoming,
Of connectivity.
Take a nice long,
Slow,
Deep breath in of love with me.
And exhale fully.
As you begin to relax and settle in,
Take another nice long,
Slow,
Deep breath in.
And exhale,
Allowing your body to land.
Allowing your mind to let go of the busy swirlings of your day.
Allowing your body to become present fully where it is.
Relaxing your neck and shoulders.
Allowing those shoulders just drop from your ears.
Allowing yourself to feel the weightiness of your hips and your glutes where they rest on your mat,
Your cushion,
Your chair.
Become aware of the sensation in your hands and the soles of your feet.
Noticing the circulation of blood and chi.
Begin to follow your breath as it comes in and as it goes out.
No need to change that breath.
No need to be anywhere other than in this moment,
In this beautiful,
Loving embrace.
Mahajaya Sati Bhagavati said,
When you plant a seed of love,
It is you that blossoms.
So let's begin to blossom that love in our hearts today.
Let's expand that energy of love so that we can feel connected to everyone and everything.
Because in loving,
We are truly living.
So placing your right hand on your abdomen,
Just below the belly button,
Your navel chakra.
And placing your left hand on your heart center,
Your heart chakra.
We're going to begin to breathe to relax the autonomic nervous system,
To take our bodies out of fight and flight mode and into a state of relaxation.
As you breathe,
Breathing in now for a count of four,
Three,
Two,
One,
And exhaling for a count of six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Breathing in for four,
Three,
Two,
One,
And exhaling six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
And again,
Feeling your chest expand as you inhale,
Three,
Two,
One,
And releasing and letting go,
Three,
Two,
One.
Breathing in,
Expanding that chest,
Three,
Two,
One,
And exhaling for six,
Five,
Two,
One.
And a few more times at your own pace,
Breathing in,
Inhaling for four,
And exhaling for six.
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Now let's allow our breath to guide us.
Relax even deeper into love,
Just allowing yourself to follow your natural rhythm of breath,
Settling into a more even breath,
Letting go of that count.
Noticing how you have now landed.
Notice how your heart has expanded in this expression of love in this time that you are giving yourself.
In this moment,
Allow yourself to open and expand your heart.
Allow the walls and barriers that hold you back from loving and living fully to just dissolve in a pool of love.
As you breathe in,
Feel the expansion of that love.
And as you exhale,
Notice your body relaxing and releasing even more.
And as you breathe in,
Feel that expansion of love as it touches all of your loved ones,
Everyone in the circle of influence that you touch.
And as you let go,
Exhaling,
Letting go of all walls and barriers.
And one more time,
Expanding that love all the way across the universe as you inhale.
Exhale,
Landing in the seat of love in your heart.
And let's take this practice deeper.
Let's take this practice of love deep within our hearts.
Today using the mantra,
Om Yum Ham,
Om Yum Ham.
Om is the vibrational sound or energy of the universe.
Yum is the vibrational mantra of the heart chakra of the heart center.
And Ham is the vibrational mantra of the throat chakra that will aid us in our expression of love.
Om Yum Ham.
Say it out loud with me a few times.
Om Yum Ham.
Om Yum Ham.
And then whisper it softly.
And now let's head into stillness and silence together.
Repeating softly,
Om Yum Ham.
Allow yourself to follow the mantra.
Allow it to bubble up from within.
And if you notice that you are distracted by sounds in the environment,
By physical sensations or by thoughts,
That's okay.
Just allow yourself to gently slide back into Om Yum Ham.
Om Yum Ham.
And this meditation will be a gentle drifting back and forth.
When you hear the sound of my voice,
You can stop repeating the mantra and allow yourself to just rest in the stillness and the silence.
Om Yum Ham.
Om Yum Ham.
Om Yum Ham.
Om Yum Ham.
Om Yum Ham.
Om Yum Ham.
Om Yum Ham.
Om Yum Ham.
Om Yum Ham.
Om Yum Ham.
Om Yum Ham.
Om Yum Ham.
Om Yum Ham.
Om Yum Ham.
Om Yum Ham.
Om Yum Ham.
Om Yum Ham.
Om Yum Ham.
You can stop repeating the mantra and allow yourself to rest in the stillness and silence.
And let's seal in the energy of this magical,
Expansive,
Connective love.
Let's expand this energy that helps us to embrace ourselves,
Each other,
And the world with love by chanting Om,
The hymn of the universe one time.
Reasing your hands at your heart center in prayer position.
We'll take a nice long,
Slow,
Deep breath in and then chant Om.
Ah-oh.
The great Sufi poet Hafiz said,
This sky where we live is no place to lose your wings.
So love,
Love,
Love.
Thank you so much for joining me today.
I hope that you have a day filled with expansive love.
