Hello,
This is Sarah Ritchie and I'm here to share a meditation with you today on the energy of the infinite flow of the universe.
This is one of our most precious gifts,
Enabling us to move with the flow of energies around us and to invite in our sacred power of trust.
Trusting that we are exactly where we need to be right here and right now.
Trusting that all of the things that have happened to us in our lives up until this moment have brought us to this pure,
Perfect,
Precious being.
Noticing as you begin to slow and deepen your breath.
Noticing the sense of energy as it comes and goes.
Maybe allowing your body to sway ever so gently like a tree in the wind.
Allowing yourself to connect to the energy of Jala in Arya Veda,
The five elements,
Jala,
Which flows freely through all of the body fluids,
The moistness in our breath,
Our blood,
Our lymphatic fluid,
The water we drink.
And notice as you hear the ripples and waves,
How your breath begins to bring you deeper into a flow of presence.
Softening your eyelids,
Allowing yourself to let go of any tension in your hands.
Softening your shoulders away from your ears.
And taking a nice,
Long,
Slow,
Deep breath in with me.
And then just exhaling fully,
Allowing yourself to connect.
Noticing the sounds around you.
Allowing your body begin to slow,
To soften,
Letting all the hard edges go.
Allowing your breath to begin to carry you like the energy of water,
Softly,
Naturally,
Flowing effortlessly from stream to creek to river to lake to ocean.
And in that water,
Remaining present as a part of the greater whole.
Take another nice,
Long,
Slow,
Deep breath in and exhale fully,
Just softening.
One of my favorite Zen koans or stories,
Teaching stories,
Says that when two monks reached a muddy river,
The water was flowing fully and there were big rocks in the water.
And the senior monk,
The teacher said to his student,
Student,
Which is stronger,
The rock or the water?
And the student thought for a moment and then he said,
Well,
Obviously it's the rock.
And the senior monk,
His teacher said,
Well,
Actually it's the water.
Think about it,
Water as soft as it is,
Flows constantly around.
It has flexibility and over time it wears away the rock.
Allow yourself in this meditation to draw in the energy of water,
Softening around everything that is hard,
Allowing the energy of letting go and flowing and then having room to invite the energy of trust,
Allowing the universe to bring to us what we need.
Take a moment and let's set an intention for today's practice.
Perhaps there's something that you would like to invite a little more of into your life today,
This week or this month,
Taking a moment to allow that intention,
It might be an energy you'd like to see more of,
An emotional energy,
Something you'd like to cultivate in yourself.
Allow that word to just float up like water into your consciousness.
Imagine as if you could solidify it in your heart,
As if you could allow it to just expand,
Imagining it as if that intention is already a part of your existence,
Is already flowing to you and within you like water.
And now let's release that intention out into the universe,
Allowing ourselves to trust that our intention will be received and should it be within our highest and greatest interest,
That intention will flow effortlessly and divinely back to us in the correct timing.
Now let's send that intention out into the universe,
Taking a nice long,
Slow,
Deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
Sending that intention out to each and every cell in your body.
And as you inhale,
Drawing that intention back into your heart center.
And as you exhale,
Sending it out into the universe,
Allowing it to release with your breath,
Trusting in the universe.
And now let's take our practice a little bit deeper by heading into stillness today using the mantra that was most used or most known by the great teacher Wayne Dyer,
I am,
I am,
I am.
Just begin to repeat the mantra silently.
Allow it to flow.
Allow it to softly fill up the edges,
Replacing any thoughts that get in your way.
Allow yourself the flow to adjust your body if you need to be comfortable.
And then effortlessly drift and float back to I am,
I am,
I am.
You may have thoughts,
Sounds or physical sensations and that's normal.
That's a perfectly normal part of our meditation.
You may find that at some point you even forget the mantra.
When you notice,
Just gently float back with the energy of water to I am,
I am,
I am,
I am.
I am,
I am,
I am.
I am,
I am,
I am.
I am,
I am,
I am.
I am,
I am,
I am.
I am,
I am,
I am.
I am,
I am,
I am.
I am,
I am,
I am.
I am,
I am,
I am.
I am,
I am,
I am.
I am,
I am,
I am.
I am,
I am,
I am.
I am,
I am,
I am.
I am,
I am,
I am.
I am,
I am,
I am.
I am,
I am,
I am.
I am,
I am.
Sitting gently with your eyes closed,
Allow yourself this moment to soak in the infinite flow of the universe,
The energy of Jala or water and the peacefulness in your heart.
And let's together seal in the intention that you set today,
Allowing yourself to release it out into the universe with the sacred power of your trust.
And let's seal that in by chanting AUM,
That beautiful AUM vibration of the earth,
The sound that contains all sounds or all vibrations that exist,
Just like the rainbow contains all the colors in the spectrum.
So join me if you like,
Placing your hands at your heart center in prayer position or over your heart and take a nice long slow deep breath in and we will chant AUM.
AUM.
Thank you for joining me today,
For taking this time and stillness.
Once again,
This is Sarah Ritchie.
Thank you for sharing this meditation with me and I look forward to meditating with you again.
Namaste.
