Hello,

My name is Sarah.

Welcome to this relaxing recording.

I hope that it can help you to find some peace,

Some calm,

Some space.

Before we start,

Just settle yourself somewhere nice and comfy.

Somewhere you can begin to relax.

And over the next little while,

Just let my voice,

My words,

My energy wash through you,

Over you.

Giving you time to begin to relax and calm.

Just let your eyes close softly and wherever you are,

Take time to be.

So often we rush around our minds and bodies tight with the anxieties of our days.

By pausing,

Being here and now,

In this moment.

You can begin to loosen,

Let go.

Come back to a place where you can feel more grounded,

Safer.

And through the chatter of your mind,

Through the overthinking and worry,

You might begin to feel the tiny seed of something different.

Perhaps a memory of a time when your world felt more peaceful,

Calmer.

A tiny seed waiting to be nurtured.

You might find yourself with your eyes closed,

Beginning to be aware of your other senses.

Perhaps feeling the weight of your body,

Completely supported by the place you're resting.

Aware of noises around the room,

Perhaps outside.

Those small,

Everyday sounds that accompany us in all we do.

The tick of a clock.

The hum of your heating.

Maybe other sounds unique to your home.

Comforting in their easy familiarity.

Slow and steady.

Your body beginning to sense that here,

Now,

In this moment,

In this place,

You're safe.

Becoming aware of your breath,

But not changing anything.

Just letting it be what it is.

Good enough.

Imagining,

Perhaps,

As you breathe out,

Letting go the tensions that you've been holding in your body,

In your mind.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Any tension beginning to flow out with your breath.

And with each easy breath out,

Your body sinking deeper and deeper into the place you're resting.

Deeper and deeper.

Heavier and heavier.

Just being.

Here and now.

In this place.

Strange how we can become so head up,

So immersed in the future,

The what-ifs,

The maybes,

And the imagined scenarios,

That it can be easy to forget that,

Right now,

You're just here.

Breathing,

Resting,

Being.

Breathing,

Resting,

Being.

Slowing down.

I wonder how it might feel if you could imagine,

From somewhere close by or maybe far away,

A light shining on you.

A light that you can be aware of,

Even with your eyes closed.

Coming from a place of comfort,

Peace,

And bringing with it a comforting,

Calming energy.

Perhaps you could feel it now.

A quiet sensation of letting go.

Gradually drifting down,

Along your forehead,

Bringing a lightness.

Each muscle,

Each fibre,

Each cell,

Letting go.

Those tiny muscles around your eyes,

Your cheeks,

The light flowing down along your face,

Your lips,

Your jaw softening,

Your teeth parting.

The awareness of that light gently flowing down across your shoulders.

Perhaps becoming aware of muscles now that you hadn't been aware of,

And as you notice them,

Letting them sink down,

Release.

Feeling that soothing light working its magic across your chest,

Down through the muscles of your back,

Your tummy,

Welcoming a new way of being,

Feeling,

Bathed in the beginnings of a new calm.

Flowing down through your hips,

Your legs.

We could wonder as the light makes its way through each of your muscles,

Is it cool?

Is it warm?

Maybe it glows.

Can you feel the colours of the rainbow in it,

Or is it pure?

Quietly enveloping you,

Your knees,

Your calves,

The soles of your feet.

Breathing naturally,

Slowly,

Your out-breath coming from deep inside you,

And filling the space around you.

You might be surprised to notice the way this light can make you feel,

Protecting you,

Creating with each easy breath out a safer space,

A place of calm,

Comfort,

Peace,

For you,

Here and now.

Breathing in,

Breathing out,

Safe in this cocoon of light,

Giving your mind and body time to heal,

Time to find peace.

And over the coming days,

You might feel yourself reminded of this light,

Enjoying time spent in self-care,

In relaxation,

Making the most of opportunities to connect with the people you love,

Whatever that means to you,

Step by step,

Moment by moment,

Taking stock of the here and now.

And as you do this,

You might be surprised to realise that this time can give you strength,

A quiet courage,

Born of that seed of calm,

Deep inside you,

A strength that can guide you forward,

Slowly and surely.

And that means that you can begin to have a steady confidence in yourself,

Protected by that light,

That calm.

Perhaps taking time to imagine sending that feeling of calm,

That light,

Out into the world,

A light flowing from person to person,

Heart to heart,

Mind to mind,

A light of peace,

Of love,

Of gratitude,

Connecting us all from wherever you are,

The world bathed in that light,

All of us protected,

Connected,

Here and now.

Each of us cocooned in light,

In love,

Breathing in,

Breathing out,

A soft togetherness of breath,

Taking this time,

Time for you,

Time for those you love,

And then,

After just a little while,

In your own time,

Perhaps being drawn slowly back into your room,

Still connected,

And yet becoming aware of those familiar sounds,

The steady tick of a clock,

The hum of your heating,

Perhaps the birds outside,

The gentle sounds of every day,

Gradually becoming aware,

Still enveloped in the feeling you need to bring with you into your day.

And only opening your eyes,

Coming back into the room when you're completely ready.

Thank you for joining me today.

I hope to meet you again soon.
