As we relax our physical body,
Let troubles,
Thoughts and tensions fall away from you as we settle and relax.
Letting go of troubles of the earthly realm and opening the doorway to the other world.
Let us take a journey to the land of myth and legend.
In your mind's eye we take ourselves for a walk out into the night,
Surrounded by mist and darkness.
But this place feels peaceful,
Not scary in the dark.
So we walk slowly and calmly as the path opens up before us.
We are walking through a grove of large tall trees.
The mists hang low and we cannot see the top of the trees.
It is as if they disappear into the shadows.
We walk along our path as it winds through the woods.
When it comes to a low mist covered field,
A wide clearing.
Walking through the field,
The mists swirl and whirl around us.
The moon shines through the clouds,
Illuminating the space all around us.
We see the light glinting on a gentle hill that we begin to climb in our own time.
Feet soft on the ground.
Continuing up the gentle slope to the crown of the hill and a circle of seats made of wood or stone circle around a fire pit filled with wood ready to be lit.
This place feels gently humming with excitement of things to come.
Perhaps the crackle and spark of magic waiting to be cast.
Quietly in our hearts we hear a chant softly.
Keradwin,
Dark mother,
Take us in.
Keradwin,
Let us be reborn.
Keradwin,
Dark mother,
Take us in.
Keradwin,
Let us be reborn.
A branch beside you laying on the ground gently flickers to life with a single flame.
And you use this to light the bonfire in front of you.
And as it flickers to life,
Perhaps voices become a little louder,
A little stronger.
As you sit around the fire,
Watching the flames crackle and dance,
We sit and watch.
We wait to see visions,
Information that is meant for you and you alone.
You will see all you need to see.
Somewhere,
Softly in the distance someone begins drumming,
A slow steady beat like a heartbeat.
Another drum joins in.
And as we are wrapped up in the flames and the rhythms,
We slowly leave this world and our earthly bodies,
Consumed in the flickers of the flames,
Seeing all we need to see in the firelight.
We are journeying to the other world.
We see others waiting for us beyond the veil,
Familiar faces,
Loved ones,
People we have missed.
They welcome us and come to our side as we begin to take a walk.
We are going to a cave.
We walk along together holding hands.
As we walk we have no need to say anything,
Simply happy in each other's company.
And soon along this pleasant path,
We arrive at the cave and stop.
There is a moment of unsureity here.
What will lay before us in this cave?
Is it our fears,
Our shadows?
Will we be safe?
But gathered together,
We enter the darkness.
Our feet seem to know where to go.
As we walk along the corridor,
We feel the walls once smooth by other hands that were here long before us.
We hear water in the distance.
Rushing,
It gets louder as we walk along.
And turning to enter a long passage,
A waterfall is falling from above as the cavern opens We find a path reaching behind the waterfall and we feel the cool water spray as we sneak behind the streams of water.
As we come out from behind the waterfall,
We see before us the Goddess of the Cauldron.
She is dressed in lapis blue and her silver hair and azure eyes sparkle.
The water in the pool at the bottom of the waterfall is iridescent.
And before her,
She holds the Cauldron of Rebirth.
She has a message for you.
For every sadness,
There is a joy.
For every ending,
There is a beginning.
For every question,
There is an answer.
And the answer is within you.
You take some time to silently contemplate her words.
As we walk on,
The path leads into a new cavern.
We hear our feet and our breathing as we walk into a new space that is green and filled with crystals.
There are stalagmites and stalactites made of beautiful shining quartz and the room vibrates with energy.
Seated on a flat quartz crystal,
Once more the Goddess.
But this time she is dressed in forest green and her hair is white.
Her eyes shine with green light.
She has another message.
Draw your energy from the earth,
But be her protector if she has need.
The earth does not belong to us,
But we to her.
Walking our way through to yet another space,
Another cavern,
We walk into a cavern that is bathed in soft yellow light.
Seated on a stone in the centre of this space,
The Goddess.
We hear her hair is yellow and white and her eyes light yellow amber.
Her dress is the colour of the sunlight at dawn.
Her message for you here.
You will never be given a greater task than you can manage and knowing yourself takes the greatest courage.
Allow yourself to contemplate her words.
As you walk on to the final cavern in our journey,
We begin to feel warmth,
A glow of firelight.
We see the flicker of flames and walk into a space filled with torches.
And in the middle,
A Goddess bathed in the light of the flames.
She is dressed in scarlet and her hair is gold and silver.
Her eyes round and black.
Her gaze is fixed to ours.
Her message for us is only for us.
And as she gazes at you,
You receive her message within your mind's eye,
Within your heart,
Or simply as a feeling or knowing.
We are now in the final cavern.
We are now in the final cavern.
We are now in the final cavern.
As we gather ourselves to leave the cave,
We silently return down the path and to the valley.
We return to the bonfire.
And once again,
We arrive in front of the fire,
The embers low.
We say goodbye to all those who have journeyed with us.
And we thank all those we have met on our journey today.
You may take with you the sparks and embers of this fire to light in your own hearth at home.
Or you may return to this place whenever you need to reconnect.
Whenever you need to reconnect to wisdom,
Reflection and knowledge.
And although I will now leave you from this meditation journey,
The music will continue to play,
And you may return to this place whenever you need to reconnect.
