I welcome you to this meditation.
My name is Saqib and I will guide you through a journey that will make you reach a place of stillness within you.
From this place,
You can observe the change happening in the world in and around you.
This will help you to maintain your calm even during such times of change,
Turmoil and transformation that humanity is experiencing.
Everything in the universe changes.
But there is one place of silence and stillness within us where we can rest,
Relax and just become an observer to all the change in our internal and external universe.
So let's get started and reach that place.
I will now request you to sit in a comfortable position with your back straight but relaxed at the same time.
Now gradually close your eyes.
Feel the presence of your surroundings.
Imagine the space that you are sitting in.
Feel the air touching your skin.
Like the smell in the air.
Feel the weight of your body on whatever you are sitting on.
And listen to all the sounds around you.
Now let's start with observing change in our internal world.
So first bring your awareness to your breathing.
Breathe in and out through your nose and follow the flow of breath as the air passes from your nostrils through your windpipe and into your lungs and back from your lungs through your windpipe and out through your nostrils.
Now notice the subtle difference between each of your breath.
See that not even every breath of yours is the same.
Even your breathing pattern changes.
Continue breathing for some time as you notice the subtle difference between each of your breath.
Now notice the subtle difference between each of your breath.
And now check if there are any thoughts in your mind right now.
Notice that how your thoughts change.
How each thought is different from another.
I will give you some time with your thoughts.
Just notice how your thoughts change.
Now notice the subtle difference between each of your breath.
Now that you have seen your thoughts changing,
Imagine these thoughts as bubbles,
Like soap bubbles,
Floating in front of you,
With each thought representing one bubble.
In your imagination,
Pop these bubbles of thoughts one by one with a slight touch of your finger.
Just in your imagination.
And now bring your awareness to your body.
We now see that how each and every part of our body feels different at different times.
So let's scan the body and check the different feelings in different parts of our body.
Let's start from the head.
So place your awareness on your head,
Including your forehead,
And check how your head is feeling.
Now place your awareness on your face,
And check how your face is feeling.
Place your awareness on your neck,
And check how your neck is feeling.
Place your awareness on your shoulders,
And check how your shoulders are feeling.
Bring your awareness now to your arms and hands,
And check how your arms and hands are feeling.
Place your awareness on your chest,
And check how your chest is feeling.
Now place your awareness on your abdomen,
And check how your abdomen is feeling.
Place your awareness on your pelvis,
And check how your pelvis is feeling.
Place your awareness on your thighs and knees,
And check how your thighs and knees are feeling.
And finally,
Place your awareness on your calves and feet,
And check how your calves and feet are feeling.
It's now time to move to the external world,
And check that how the external world changes.
So now imagine the area,
The city,
Town,
Or village that you live in.
See how this area is changing every moment.
Imagine the people and the automobiles moving in your area.
Imagine the trees swaying in the wind,
The lights turning off and on during the day,
The winds moving through the area.
Imagine each and every detail,
And see how your area is changing.
I will give you some time to observe the changes.
And now imagine the sky above you.
See how the sky changes.
See the clouds changing shapes,
The sun and the moon appearing and disappearing,
The colors of the sky changing,
Birds and airplanes passing by,
Etc.
Now imagine the great rivers and oceans,
And see how they change.
Notice the journey of a river,
And the rising and the falling of the waves and tides in the sky.
Imagine the entire earth now,
And see how mother earth changes,
How it rotates on its axis,
How the seasons change,
How the atmosphere changes.
And finally imagine the entire universe as much as you can.
See how the entire universe changes at all times.
How moons revolve around planets,
How planets revolve around stars,
How entire star systems move around a galaxy,
And how even galaxies are moving across the cosmos.
Now bring your awareness back to your imaged surroundings and the space where you are sitting.
Feel the air touching your skin.
The weight of your body.
The smell in the air.
And listen to the sounds around you.
And now wiggle your toes and move your fingers.
And gradually open your eyes.
You are now a calm observer in this changing universe.
