The Body Of Light is a Tibetan Technique for providing deep rest and relaxation to the mind and body. This meditation also uses techniques from the practices of Yoga Nidra and Sleep Psychology. Saqib will guide you through a wonderfully relaxing meditation into the world of deep sleep!

I welcome you to this meditation.
My name is Saqib and I am your sleep and relaxation guide.
We will be using an energy in this meditation which is in the form of pure golden white light.
This light is from the source of all creation and has the power to provide ultimate relaxation and deep rest to your mind and body.
It will turn your body into a body of light and this is what will take you into a world of deep sleep.
You don't need to worry about the process of this meditation as I will guide you step by step.
Whoever you are and wherever you are,
Just know that I love you.
I believe that because tonight me and you have met for this meditation,
We undoubtedly have some connection and I deeply love every person whom I get connected through meditation.
So just be absolutely relaxed and let me take care of you.
Let's get started then.
See if you can shift the posture of your body in a slightly more relaxed position.
Loosen and relax the part of your body which you feel is a bit stressed.
And keep your eyes open for now.
We will close them soon.
Let's first set our sankalpa or intention for having quality sleep.
I will say the words of sankalpa and either you can repeat after me in your heart or just listen to my words.
It's up to you.
I give deep rest and relaxation to my mind and my body.

And now,
Find a point in the line of your sight and simply gaze at that point for some time.
This point may be on the roof or a wall or even some point in the dark if you can't see the wall or the roof.
Let your gaze be a soft case.
Don't strain your eyes.
Loosen and relax the muscles of your eyes.
Now very gradually,
Close your eyes.
Now let's be thankful.
Many of us rarely remember to consciously thank the universe or God or collective consciousness or whatever we believe in.
So this is a good opportunity to do it.
Be thankful for whatever you wish to be.
I will be silent for a couple of minutes while you complete your thanksgiving.

You You You You Now we will bring our sankalpa into manifestation by visualizing it Visualize yourself in your imagination that you are sleeping deeply with full rest and relaxation See that there is peace within you,
There is a faint smile on your face while you are sleeping The smile is due to the deep relaxation that your mind and body has achieved Feel that peace and relaxation in your mind and the whole body Now check if there are any thoughts in your mind right now,
Just be aware of those thoughts Imagine these thoughts as bubbles rising in front of you with each thought representing one bubble In your imagination burst or pop these bubbles of thoughts one by one with a slight touch of your finger just in your imagination Now it's time to meet that light that will provide you ultimate relaxation to your mind and your body Imagine a beam of golden white light coming from the sky and reaching your feet Feel your feet dissolving into this light They are becoming lighter and lighter as they are dissolving into the light And now they have completely dissolved into the light and have become the light themselves Now move this light upwards and feel the rest of your legs dissolving into light including your thighs Your legs are becoming lighter and lighter and becoming light themselves Now move this light upwards to your pelvis region and feel your pelvis dissolving into this light Your pelvis is becoming lighter and lighter and becoming the light itself Now move the light upwards to your stomach and feel your stomach dissolving into the light Your stomach is becoming lighter and lighter and becoming the light itself And now move the light upwards to your chest and feel your chest dissolving into the light Your chest is becoming lighter and lighter and becoming the light itself Move the light upwards to your neck and feel your neck dissolving into the light Your neck is becoming lighter and lighter and becoming the light itself And finally move the light upwards to your head and feel your head including your face dissolving into the light Your head is becoming lighter and lighter and becoming the light itself Now you have become the body of light and it is time to meet your guiding angel Another beam of light is coming from the sky and has descended upon your body of light and formed another body of light which is just besides you This other body of light is giving you warm embrace of deep love through a tight hug telling you that it loves you deeply and will protect you Surrender completely to your guiding angel The gateway to the world of sleep is through the heart So now we will be journeying from our mind to our heart and into a place of silence and stillness where we will rest,
Relax and sleep deeply For this we will move our awareness from the mind to the throat to the heart and into that place of silence and stillness So bring your awareness now at the point between your eyebrows Gradually move your awareness downwards and place your awareness at your throat and the centre of your neck And now move your awareness further downwards and place it at the centre of your chest From here we will journey inwards to a place of silence,
A place of stillness,
A place of pure being This place is deep within us Descend down to that place as I guide you I will be counting back from 10 to 1 and as I do so with each count Imagine and feel as if you are descending one step into that place of silence,
Stillness and sleep Once you reach that place of pure being,

I absolutely loved this meditation! I love your other sleep meditations too but this one might be my favorite. I feel so comforted, safe and loved when I listen to your meditations. I often have trouble visualizing light but having it light up parts of my body somehow makes it much easier. I loved that you brought in my guardian angel too. One thing I wonder if you might consider for the future is a slower countdown. It would really be sleepy-making if you would pause 5-7 seconds in between each number, or gradually have longer and longer pauses between them. Just a thought. Thank you for your love and care.
