I welcome you to this practice with a lot of love and if you are experiencing fear then I am sending my healing vibes to you.
This practice is called Consciousness Retrieval and we will overcome our fears by retrieving our consciousness from the future or from the past.
Now before we begin with the practice let me explain this to you a little bit so that it becomes much easier for us to do the practice.
Fear is a result of thought,
When we think and worry too much about the future we experience fear and that thinking of the future is based on our past experiences.
If we have experienced some pain or some danger in the past we fear that in the future as well.
So then to overcome this fear we have to bring ourselves to the present and we have to see that in the present right now I am okay,
I am fine.
We have to retrieve our consciousness from the future or from the past.
So think of a situation in the past or the future where you find yourself usually,
A situation that you keep thinking about and what we will do is we will retrieve your consciousness from that situation and bring it back to its home,
The present moment.
So without further ado let's get started.
Allow yourself to be in a comfortable posture,
Let yourself be relaxed and then I would request you to gradually close your eyes.
Let us first release any fear from the body.
So we will do a body scan and simply move your awareness through your body and as you do that the body relaxes by itself.
So first bring your awareness to your head,
Let your head relax,
Moving down your awareness to your face muscles,
Jaw,
Relax your neck,
Shoulders,
Arms,
Hands,
Chest,
Belly,
Upper back,
Lower back,
Pelvis,
Relax your hips,
Thighs,
Knees,
Calves and relax your feet.
If you want you can repeat this statement after me,
In this moment everything is okay,
In this moment everything is okay and now gently bring your awareness to your breath and let yourself observe the breath as it goes in and out of your body and let your awareness follow the breath wherever it goes,
Let the breath be the anchor to this present moment and now bring to your mind that situation that you find yourself thinking about,
That situation can be in the past or in the future and now visualize that there is a tunnel in front of you,
This tunnel is a time traveling tunnel and it will take you to that situation.
Now visualize that you are entering this tunnel,
You are walking through this tunnel,
You see light at the end of the tunnel and then you exit it and now you have arrived in that situation,
Now visualize this situation,
Notice each and every detail of this situation,
The surroundings,
The colors,
The people in it,
Activate your other senses as well,
Listen to the sounds that are there in this situation and then you notice that in this situation there is a fragment of your consciousness,
This is your fearful self,
You can visualize this fearful self of yours sitting in a corner and worrying about this situation,
Observe this fearful self of yours,
Notice their body language,
Their facial expressions and now walk up to your fearful self and then quietly say this to your fearful self,
You have spent enough time here,
It's time to come home,
Your fearful self is holding your hand now and is ready to go with you,
Visualize that you are walking back to that tunnel along with your fearful self,
You both now enter the tunnel,
You are walking through the tunnel,
You exit it and now you both are back in the present moment and now you see that as soon as your fearful self has come to the present,
It has started healing,
Notice your fearful self relaxing and notice them becoming more at peace,
So visualize that you are now giving a warm loving embrace to this fragment of your consciousness,
Give them a warm hug and then gradually allow yourself to come out of the practice,
You can move your hands,
Your feet,
Notice your body and in your own time you can open your eyes,
