Day Tree: Today's topic is ​Trusting the Self and our mantra is "I am in the process of fully trusting myself." In the 21 Day Food Freedom & Body Love Meditation Journey, I will lead you through 21 days of guided meditations with topics designed to help you get to the root of your struggle with food and body. The meditation series has a range of awesome transformational topics, such as feeling safe in your body, trusting yourself, the power of choice, and forgiveness, just to name a few. And each topic comes with a mantra to help you integrate the work into your day to day life.

What's up Phoenixes and welcome to day three of 21.

In this meditation we are going to be working with trusting the self and really learning how to trust our bodies.

Whenever I ask you guys what is the biggest thing that you need support with,

Trust is always up there.

Really learning how to feel trust,

Operate from a place of trust so we don't have to ask everyone we know if we're making the right decision or procrastinate our decision or whatever it is.

Being able to live from a place of making the decision because we know in our hearts and in our souls and our bodies that it's the right decision for us.

And so in this meditation we're just going to be getting into the body and really feeling into the visceral yes and the visceral no in the body.

So I want you to find yourself in a nice comfortable position whether you're sitting on a chair lying down on the ground or sitting cross legged whatever is most comfortable for you.

And I want you just to take a moment with your eyes open and just observe the space around you.

Just notice any colors that you may have not noticed before.

Just notice any colors.

Take a moment and look at the shapes,

Look at all the different shapes in the space around you.

Now just take a moment and just observe all the different textures around you.

All the varying different textures around you.

Space is made up of so much beauty,

So much diversity and that same beauty and diversity is within us all just an entire universe we get to explore if we choose to.

I want to take this moment and just honor you for exploring your universe and your unique makeup.

So just taking a few deep breaths in through the nose,

Out through the mouth,

In through the nose,

Out through the mouth.

And just closing your eyes and just being present in this space.

And just take a moment and just notice what is coming up for you right now.

How do you feel in your body?

How do you feel in your body?

Just notice the sensations in your body right now.

One of the biggest reasons we don't trust ourselves is because we do not have connection to our bodies.

We don't have connection to this infinite source in our bodies that is constantly communicating to us,

Constantly guiding us.

We've shut it off,

We've numbed it out and furthermore we continue to use food as a drug to stop feeling.

Feeling is one of our greatest gifts we can possibly give ourselves.

The ability to feel our intuition,

Feel our emotions,

Feel all the sensations going on.

We get to experience the lightness and the darkness and when we numb out we don't get to experience anything.

Your intuition is your superpower.

You get to feel into it and turn it on at any point.

You get to consult it at any point.

It always has an answer.

It always is guiding you in the direction that is most in alignment with who you are.

It is always happening for you.

You just need to listen.

So we're going to take a few deep breaths in through the nose,

Out through the mouth,

In through the nose,

Out through the mouth,

In through the nose,

Out through the mouth,

Out through the mouth.

I'm going to take a moment and just ask yourself a definite yes question.

A question that you know is a definite yes.

Whether that's asking yourself what your name is,

Where you live.

Something that you know to be 100% truthful without a doubt.

Just feel your intuition respond.

The lightness,

The expansion,

Just feel your body respond.

And now ask yourself a definite no question.

A question that you know is a definite no.

And feel your body respond to that.

What is a definite no question?

Your body has incredible visceral intelligence.

We just need to be aware of what is a yes and what is a no so we can be guided.

And maybe you have stories around how you cannot trust yourself and that's okay.

So the mantra I want you to embody during this practice is I am in the process of fully trusting myself.

Sometimes when we say mantras that our brain completely doesn't agree with,

It'll just reject them.

But using a term like I am in the process allows our brain to really understand where we're going.

Therefore,

We can collect evidence for why that's true.

So I just want you to take a moment now with your breath and with your mantra just feeling into your body,

Feeling into what that feels like.

What would it feel like to fully trust yourself?

What it feel like to fully trust yourself around food,

With your body,

With everything,

Just fully trusting yourself.

I just want you to create that.

What does that feel like?

What does it look like?

Using the mantra as we create what it feels like and what it looks like.

Just taking a moment and doing that now.

Oooh!

You You You You You Anytime your mind wants to take you away Just honor the part of you that wants you to be distracted and bring it back to your body That's all the mind is wanting to do is distract you it's called a protector protecting you from Being in your body protecting you from feeling There was a time when it wasn't safe to feel and so distraction is An easy way for us to not be present and not feel what's really real for us Don't fight these parts of you just honor them and come back to the meditation Come back into your body Repeating the mantra I am in the process of fully trusting myself What does that feel like when you say that I am in the process of fully trusting myself You When we fully trust ourselves we don't need permission from anyone We get to just take action based on felt sense based on feeling because that's all that matters That's what's truly important You Right now in your body you probably have a lot of evidence Supporting the case that you're not trustworthy and that's okay That's what we get to work with And in order to shift this narrative We get to create evidence for why that's true and by embodying this mantra and showing up for ourselves and Being integral to our word we get to create evidence for why we are trustworthy fully trustworthy And we get to be patient with ourselves as it takes time to shift a deep core belief like this But it is some of the greatest work we can possibly do So coming back to the breath taking a few deep breaths in through the nose Howl it through the mouth Just relaxing the shoulders relaxing the body Just bringing some movement back into the body maybe stretching the neck left to right And then we're going to come back to the breath taking a few deep breaths in through the nose And then we're going to come back to the breath taking a few deep breaths in through the nose And then responses are getting A little bit more Nervous time to integrate,

To be in your body,

To acknowledge what's going on.

Take a moment and be grateful for yourself.

Just feel gratitude in your body.

Beautiful work.
