Take a time out and tune in to the archetypal energies within yourself.
These meditations will take you on a yogic journey to align with the archetypes,
To harness their energy,
And live a fuller,
Aligned life.
As within,
So without.
Let's grow.
In this meditation,
We will focus on Lord Krishna,
His love,
And guidance.
Meditating with Lord Krishna as your focus can be a deeply spiritual and calming practice.
Let's begin by creating a sacred space.
Choose a quiet,
Clean space where you will be undisturbed.
Place an image,
Statue,
Or symbol of Krishna,
Such as a flute,
A peacock feather,
Or even his name written beautifully in your own handwriting.
Let's set an intention before beginning our meditation.
For example,
I meditate with Krishna to feel his love and guidance.
Take a moment to set yours now.
And then relax and center yourself in your space.
Sit in a comfortable position,
Either cross-legged on the floor,
Or in a chair with your feet flat on the ground.
Keep your back straight,
And rest your hands on your knees.
Palms up to receive,
Palms down to ground.
Take a few mindful breaths together to relax the body and get out of the head,
Focusing on the natural rhythm of your breath,
So that we let thoughts drift away.
Take three breaths here.
If you choose to chant Krishna's mantra,
You have two to choose from for our particular meditation.
The universal mantra for Krishna,
OM NAMO BHAGAVATE VASUDEVAYA,
Or the Maha Mantra,
Hare Krishna,
Hare Krishna,
Krishna Krishna,
Hare Hare,
Hare Rama,
Hare Rama,
Rama Rama,
Hare Hare.
If you are choosing to incorporate mantra into your meditation today,
Take a moment to decide which mantra for Krishna you will chant in today's practice.
There is no right or wrong,
Just allow your heart to guide you.
If you would like to recite this mantra 108 times,
Consider calling in your garland mala with your 108 beads.
Once you decide on the mantra that you will incorporate today,
Get comfortable and begin to visualize Krishna in your mind.
Maybe imagine him playing the flute under a tree,
Seeing his form radiating peace,
Love,
And divine energy.
Then begin to absorb his presence,
Focusing on his qualities such as love,
Kindness,
And joy,
Feeling his energy surrounding and protecting you.
Maybe this is enough for you today,
Just sitting in Krishna's energy.
Or perhaps if you would like to chant your Krishna mantra,
Let's go ahead,
Pause this meditation,
And recite your mantra now.
If you are incorporating your 108 bead mala,
Please begin and resume this meditation once complete.
Wherever you've decided to be in this moment,
Know that that is exactly where you are meant to be in order to connect with Krishna's energy.
If you've decided to just sit and visualize and absorb his presence,
Feel into this stillness that you have created for yourself.
Allow yourself to reflect and to listen to any messages that may come through from Krishna here now.
Be receptive to any feelings,
Insights,
Or sensations that may arise.
Once your meditation has come to a close,
Seal this time with Krishna by expressing gratitude,
Sending thanks for feeling his love and presence and coming to know him as your divine space today.
You can connect deeper with Krishna through meditating regularly for only 5-10 minutes a day,
By reading Krishna's teachings in the texts like the Bhagavad Gita to deepen your understanding of his divine power and energy.
Or,
You can simply chant or listen to the bhajans devoted to Krishna.
When you are ready,
Begin to shift your awareness back to your breath.
Taking full deep breaths here,
Sipping in all the oxygen you can into your lungs,
Holding your breath at the top,
Take in one more sip of air,
Then exhale out the mouth all of the toxins,
Bad attitudes,
And stress in your life.
Let it go.
Feel your body,
Mind,
And spirit in this moment.
Begin to add gentle movement,
Waking up,
Opening the eyes,
Looking around you,
Arriving.
Now let's take one more breath together to seal this practice.
Inhale,
Exhale,
Smile.
Until next time,
Go in peace.
