They say that emotions are a chemical process that can only last 90 seconds. In this meditation, we will lovingly let the craving pass like a storm on the ocean. This meditation helps me reconnect with what my body needs and reminds me not to be upset when cravings come. Perhaps it will help you too. You're doing SO well, and I love you. Samantha

There's a Harvard study that says that emotions are a chemical process that can only last 90 seconds.

So in theory if you sit with the feeling that emotion for 90 seconds and you acknowledge it,

It will pass.

It's been my experience that this is true for my cravings.

If we can feel it,

Acknowledge it,

It will pass.

Like a storm,

Or like a toddler throwing a tantrum,

Or like the seasons,

They're completely natural and if we can sit with it for 90 seconds or more,

It will pass.

Know that now,

That this craving that is a guest in your body will pass and more will come.

And we don't need to be upset or angry that a craving has come,

It's completely natural like a storm,

Or like a toddler throwing a tantrum,

Or like the seasons.

Know that this craving will pass.

We can expect them with this serenity to accept what we cannot change,

We can expect them.

And what we can do is have the courage to change what we can,

Which is our response.

And with the wisdom to know the difference between what we can and can't change,

We can learn how to look after ourselves through these cravings.

So let's do that now.

Move your energy down into your toes.

What do your toes feel like?

What does your big toe feel like?

Do you know that your toes love you?

Now draw your energy through your feet and into your heels.

How do they feel?

Are they tired?

They love you.

Drawing your energy through your feet and up your ankles and up your calves and into your strong knees that have been carrying you for so many years.

They love you so much.

Now that energy is moving up through your pelvis.

Feel how much love there is for you here through your stomach.

And put one hand on your belly now.

And I want you to rub your belly in circles.

No matter how you've been treating your belly,

No matter how much heartache you've caused it or harm,

Do you know that your belly loves you?

It loves you so much.

Bring your energy up through your belly and into your heart.

And bring your other hand onto your heart.

Take a big breath in and a big breath out.

And this time when you breathe in,

Draw in all the love.

And when you breathe out,

That love is gonna stay inside you.

Bring your energy through your heart and up into your neck.

What does your neck feel like?

Often your throat can be congested or a little bit painful.

Acknowledge your throat now.

It loves you so much.

Tell your throat that you love it too.

Now drawing your energy up your neck and into your face.

What do your lips feel like?

What do your eyes feel like?

Is there any tension between your brows?

Completely relax every muscle.

Feel how much love there is for you.

Every particle of your being loves you so much.

Know how much you are loved right now.

Feel love all around you.

I want you to know now that it's been well over 90 seconds.

And if you're still here with me,

You're weathering the storm.

How does that feel?

To know that you're able to look after yourself.

That more storms will come and that's okay because you can always return to this place.

This place so filled with love for you.

You are so loved.

Know that you can always return to this place.

This place where you are so so loved.

I'm Samantha Ryan and I want you to know that you're doing so well and I love you.

See you next time.
