We often hold so much tension in our faces without even realizing it. This gentle acupressure massage uses soft pressure on points around your nose, forehead, and temples. It's a beautiful way to release physical tension, connect with your body and feel more energised and focused (healthy sympathetic). Hello,

I hope you are doing well wherever you are today and thank you so much for joining me for this technique.

I absolutely love all forms of massage and so this is going to be a nice treat for you to do throughout your day.

So in order to do this acupressure face massage you need to use your index fingers and we're going to place them just each side of your nostril just on kind of where the soft tissue finishes and you can just feel that bone running underneath.

We're going to apply pressure there then we're going to run out towards the temples and the ears a couple of times and then we're going to run up the nose up to the third eye and down a couple of times and then we're going to do that L shape a couple of times.

So you can do this in my pace or you can do this at your own pace.

It's going to be hold for three seconds in the nose then three times out and in along the bone towards the ears,

Three times up and down to the temple and back down to the acupressure point and up and down and then three times doing the full L shape.

So up to the temple,

Out to the ears and back again.

Okay so get yourself comfortable.

Allow your body just to find some stillness for this.

If you wish to close your eyes you may do so and just bring your index fingers to either side of your nostrils.

As I say find the point at which your bone starts it's just that soft pressure point and I just want you to put a little bit of pressure there and count to three.

You may want to put this in time with your breath but there is no expectation to do that.

Beautiful.

Now run with a little bit of pressure your index fingers out along the bone under your eyes to your temples.

Add a little pressure to your temples and then run your fingers back.

That's one.

Let's go again.

Two and again.

Three.

Beautiful.

Remember if your mind gets distracted that's normal and natural.

You can bring yourself back to the present by focusing on the pressure of your fingers or connecting in with your breath.

So now we're going to go from that pressure point up the outside of the nose along the bridge to the third eye just in the middle of your forehead and then bringing it back down.

That's one.

Let's go again.

Two and last time.

Three.

Beautiful.

Shift your fingers if you want to get back in position and then we're going to do up,

Down,

Out to the temples and back.

Up,

Down,

Out to the temples and back.

And last time.

Up,

Down,

Out to the temples and back.

Beautiful.

Just allow your arms to drop down and relax.

They've done us proud here.

Notice any sensations in your face or even perhaps in your fingers that have been doing the work.

How does it make you feel in this moment?

Beautiful.

Now take a couple of deeper breaths.

Bring a smile to your face.

Move your body however it needs.

Open your eyes if you decided to close them and welcome back.

Thank you so much for joining me for this.

I absolutely love that feeling of like pressure release in my face and I hope you do too.

Take care of yourself and I'll see you again soon.
