Let's begin by finding a comfortable position.

You can sit upright with your legs crossed or lie down if that feels better for your body.

Close your eyes,

Or if you prefer,

Keep them softly focused on one spot in front of you.

Take this time to pause,

Rest,

And connect with yourself.

There is no right or wrong way to go about this guided meditation.

Simply allow yourself to be here,

Just as you are.

Take a moment to notice your breath.

You don't need to change anything.

Just notice the natural rhythm of your inhales and exhales.

Your breath is your anchor,

A gentle reminder that you are alive and here in this moment.

Now let's deepen the breath together.

Take a slow,

Deep breath in through your nose,

Letting your belly gently expand like a balloon.

Pause for a moment at the top of your inhale,

And slowly exhale through your nose,

Feeling your belly soften and fall.

Let's try that again.

Inhale deeply,

Feeling your belly rise,

And exhale slowly,

Releasing any tension or tightness.

With each inhale,

Feel yourself filling up with calm and steady energy,

And with each exhale,

Let go of anything you don't need right now,

Any worries,

Tensions,

Or distractions.

If your mind begins to wander,

That's perfectly okay.

Simply notice it,

And gently bring your focus back to the feeling of your breath moving in and out of your body.

Shift the focus to your body now.

Bring your attention to the top of your head.

Notice how it feels.

Do you sense any tightness or pressure?

Imagine that with each breath,

You are softening this area,

Letting it completely relax.

Now move your focus to your forehead.

Feel it smooth and soften.

Let your eyes rest gently in their sockets.

Relax your jaw,

Maybe even let it drop slightly.

Take a deep breath and feel the whole area around your face and head melt into ease.

Next,

Shift your attention to your neck and shoulders.

These areas often carry stress.

As you exhale,

Imagine them softening and becoming heavier,

Sinking into the support of the earth beneath you.

Let this relaxation flow down through your arms,

To your hands,

And all the way down to your fingertips.

Bring your awareness now to your chest and belly.

Feel the natural rise and fall as you breathe.

With each exhale,

Let your body feel heavier and more at ease.

Continue directing your attention downward toward your hips,

Legs,

And finally your feet.

Allow each of these body parts to fully relax,

Letting go of any tension.

Feel your whole body now,

Soft,

Relaxed,

And completely supported.

Now imagine a beautiful lake.

Picture the surface of the water,

Smooth,

Still,

And reflective,

Like a mirror.

The lake is surrounded by nature,

A peaceful forest,

Gentle hills,

And wide open skies.

This lake represents your mind.

Sometimes the surface of the lake ripples or becomes choppy,

Just like our thoughts or emotions can disturb our inner peace.

But underneath,

Deep within the lake,

The water remains still and steady.

With every breath you take,

Imagine the surface of the lake becoming smoother and the ripples fading back to stillness.

If a thought arises,

Think of it as a small leaf landing on the water.

Watch the leaf float away gently without trying to control it.

Your only task is to breathe,

And with each exhale,

Imagine the lake becoming more serene and more clear.

Notice how the sunlight reflects off the water,

Creating warm,

Golden shimmers on its surface.

Feel the peacefulness of this lake emanating from its quiet,

Still,

Balanced existence.

This calmness is always within you,

Even when on the surface,

The happenings of life feel busy or chaotic.

You can return to this lake anytime you like,

Simply by pausing and breathing.

Now,

Slowly bring your awareness back to your body and the space around you.

Feel the support of the floor beneath you.

Begin to wiggle your fingers and toes and gently start to reconnect with the physical world.

Take a moment to thank yourself for dedicating this time to cultivating stillness.

Know that by practicing mindfulness,

You are nurturing yourself and creating space for more balance and calm in your life.

When you're ready,

Slowly open your eyes and return to the room.
