Welcome.
Beautiful song.
I am so glad that you and your animal companion are here together today.
In this short practical healing practice,
Something you can return to again and again as a daily ritual or whenever your animal needs support.
All you need is a few quiet minutes and a willing heart.
So let's begin.
Find a comfortable place to sit or kneel beside your animal.
If they are resting,
Settle near by them.
If they are moving around.
Simply call to them to gently and allow them to find their own position.
Don't force stillness.
Animals know how to receive healing even when they seem distracted.
And you can trust in that.
Place both of your feet flat on the floor.
Or feel the ground beneath you.
And take a slow breath in through the nose.
And release it through the mouth.
Let's do that one more time.
Breathe in.
And there you go.
Feel yourself arriving in this moment.
Let your to-do list go.
Let go of the noise of your day.
And you are here now.
With your beloved beside you.
Begin by becoming aware of your own heart center.
Place one hand on the chest.
And feel it rise.
And fall with each breath.
Bring to mind the love you carry for this animal.
This particular irresponsible love.
That only belongs to this bond.
And let that feeling grow warm in your chest like a gentle fire.
And from that place of love,
Set a simple,
Clear intention.
You may say it inwardly or aloud.
I offer it as healing.
For the highest good.
Of my animal companion.
May their energy flow freely.
May they be well balanced.
And deeply loved.
And when your animal is ready and willing,
Gently place one hand on each side of their shoulder area.
That broad,
Beautiful region.
At the top of their legs.
Where the neck meets the body.
This is the Prayakal Chakra,
Their key chakra.
The center that governs trust,
Bonding and the flow of energy through their entire system.
You don't need to press,
A light touch is enough.
Even hovering your palms an inch above the fur or feathers carries the same intention.
And now close your eyes.
Breathing in.
Pan out.
Visualize a warm,
Luminous light.
Silver like moonlight.
Or golden like afternoon sun.
Gathering into your heart and flowing through your arms,
Through your hands,
Through your palms,
Gently into your animal's shoulder centers.
Seen as light spreading.
Watch it travel from the Prakashanth chakra down through the spine.
Flowing to the root chakra at the base of their tail.
Grounding your animal deep into the earth.
See the roots of soft golden light reaching down their body into the soil below.
Anchoring them.
Settling down.
Making them safe.
And now watch the light travel upward.
Rising through the root,
The solar plexus,
Filling the belly with confidence and calm.
Flowing up.
Into the heart center.
Expanding it.
Brightening it.
Letting love move freely into all directions.
Rising.
Through the heart,
Through the throat,
Clearing any blockages.
In expression and communication.
Up through the wise third eye,
Honoring their ancient instinct.
And deep knowing.
And finally through the crown.
Connecting this beloved being to the fast and luminous web.
Of all life.
Just take a slow breath.
Feel the full column of light running through your animal's body.
From top to tail,
From root to crown.
All of it flowing,
All of it clear.
And bring your awareness down to your animal's paws.
Those quiet,
Grounded places where their bhat chakras live.
Imagine each paw softly glowing.
See small points of worth.
Earth light at each pad.
Each hoof.
Drawing nourishment up from the ground.
Your animal is connected.
They are held.
The Earth knows them and is feeding them.
And then take a deep breath in.
And when you breathe out,
Send that same warm awareness to the base of each ear,
Those sensitive portals where they receive the subtle vibration of the world.
See a soft,
Calm light there.
A gentle settling.
As if you are turning down the volume on everything overwhelming.
And leaving only peace.
And when you feel that the energy has moved and settled.
And you will feel it.
Perhaps as a warmth in your hands,
Or a deep sigh from your animal,
A yawn.
A shift of their body.
And maybe a heaviness in their limbs that gets them relaxed.
They gently lift your hands.
Place both of your palms together on your heart and bow your head slightly in gratitude.
Offer a quiet thank you to your animal for trusting you,
To the healing energy that moves through you.
It moves through both of you.
And that sacred bond that holds you together across all the time.
You might whisper or think.
You are loved.
You are well.
Your energy flows freely.
All is a lie.
Just sit with your animals for a few more breaths.
Let them sleep if they need to.
Let them stretch.
Let them simply be.
The healing continues long after your hands have moved away.
And notice how you feel too,
Because this practice was never one directional,
As healing energy moved through you and into your animal.
Their open,
Unconditional heart was radiating right back at yours.
You just healed each other.
And that is the gift of the prakael bond.
And that's why they came.
Return to this practice as often as you feel cold.
Once a day,
Once a week.
Anytime your animal seems off.
Anxious,
Unsettled and well.
Anytime you need to come back to your own heart.
Thank you for the love you bring to your animals.
The world is more luminous because of it.
Welcome back.
And welcome home.
