Journey to the Heart Cave,
A guided meditation by Blue Wolf Yoga.
Please come into a comfortable seated position,
Or if it is possible,
I invite you to take time to lay down on your back and adopt a comfortable position.
You can find a spot on the floor with as many blankets and pillows as you want,
Or even your couch in bed is an option.
In this meditation,
We journey from our mind center into the heart sanctuary,
Where we are supported and can unlock the enormous potential that lies within us.
In the heart cave,
Your mind,
Senses,
And spirit all meet and merge into one.
This space is home,
You feel safe in the sanctuary.
Whenever you feel lost during the meditation,
Come back to the breath,
Go back to the journey,
And come back home.
Begin to follow the breath in and out of the nostrils,
Finding that nice rhythmic pace that you can maintain throughout the journey with a gentle balance between effort and ease.
Begin to take those long deep breaths in,
And even longer deeper breaths out.
With each breath,
Feel comforted and supported.
With each exhale,
We lengthen and surrender to the embrace of the earth.
Bring all of your awareness and concentration to the bottoms of both feet,
Relaxing both feet,
Both legs,
The hips,
And pelvis.
Releasing the lower abdomen and lower back,
Mid back,
Middle chest,
Upper back along with the shoulder blades,
And the chest all along the collarbones.
Let both arms from the shoulders to the fingertips slowly relax.
Let the lips and tongues loosen in both nostrils.
No tension behind the eyes,
Relaxing the internal gaze.
No pressure or straining behind the forehead.
And now from the crown of the head to the soles of the feet,
Let the body relax.
Bring all of your thought,
All of your imagination to focus on the center of your eyebrows and a little bit behind.
See yourself lying on the floor supported by the earth in a large open field.
See the space around you begin to take shape as you notice you are no longer in the physical world,
But standing in a field of green grass as far as the eye can see.
As you scan the horizon of the green fields,
You notice a light illuminating and is coming from a small opening in a large tree.
The tree goes as high as you can see,
Seeming endless.
You approach the tall tree and notice that the light begins to take a specific color.
A color that is special to you.
As you approach and get closer to the light,
You see that it starts to take the shape of a doorway.
The door of light is now clear and you reach out to touch and a sense of warmth and relaxation spreads through.
You proceed through the doorway and find yourself at the top of a spiral staircase,
Illuminated by the same light that guided you.
Take a step onto the staircase and with each step deeper into relaxation and close to our sanctuary,
Begin your journey from the center of your mind's eye,
Down towards your heart center,
Down through the staircase of light.
With each step,
Each breath progresses down the staircase,
Noticing all that surrounds you.
And with each step towards the heart,
A lightness sweeps over the body.
Slow your descent and slow your breath.
As you near what seems the ending of the staircase,
You see a bright light pulsating with the beat and rhythm of your heart.
You continue to approach the end of the stairs and you notice another doorway of light and you reach out to touch.
And a sense of warmth and relaxation spreads throughout you again.
You proceed through the door and you find yourself entering a vast space.
This space is your heart cave and the same light that guided you here now illuminates the walls of the cave with your presence.
Here in this space,
You feel comforted and loved.
You are welcome to stay here in this space for some time,
Practicing concentrating on the light that illuminates the heart cave.

In this light,
Our thoughts are purified and a deeper understanding of ourselves and teachings are found.

May this light of yours guide your intelligence and your healing force.
Continue to sit or lay in meditation as long as you feel comfortable remaining in your light.
Thank you again for taking time for yourself.
Namaste.
